86, AUGUSTA
Juanita"Nitaā€¯Kingsley,86, of Augusta,died Tuesday,Dec. 20,2011 at Susan B.
Allen Memorial Hospital. The celebration of her life Nita Kingsley will be
held 2 p.m. Tuesday,
Dec. 27, 2011, at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado. Burial will follow the services in Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, El Dorado.
Nita was born Dec. 21,1924 in Floral, Kan., the daughter of Russell and Ida May (Moore) Smith. She lived in the Butler County area all of her life. On March 13,1944 she was united in marriage to Gene Kingsley in Augusta. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2005. Nita cared for people as a nurses aide at the Woodllawn Nursing home in Wichita and The Walnut Valley Manor in Augusta. Gene and Nita always had a garden and they canned the produce to share with their family. She loved to paint, crochet and sew.
Surviving family include: son, Micheal (Connie)Kingsley of Wichita; daughters, Joyce (Greg) Darnell of Ed-wardsville, Kan., and
Kim (Steve) Edwards of Augusta; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene; one daughter, Vickie, one brother and one sister.

Richard E. Ridey
69, GRAND RAPIDS, Ml
Richard E. Ridey, age 69, of Grand Rapids, Mich., formerly of Charleston, 111., and Augusta, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011.
Richard was a Reserve Officer with the Augusta and Andover Police Departments, which he enjoyed for many years. He also was a mechanic and truck dealer service manager.
Surviving are: his wife of 48 years, Beverly; children, Christopher (Tracy) Ridey, Tom (Cristy) Ridey; three grandchildren, Spencer, Allison, Emerson; three step-grandchildren, Dessa, Kayleigh, Keenan; a sister, Sharon (Roy) Drake of Charleston, 111.
Private family services have already been held.
Contributions in memory of Richard may be given to the American , Cancer Society. Arrangements by Stroo Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, Mich, www.stroofuneralhome.c om.
