the Histoiy Channel and old war and western movies. His hobbies included many years of woodworking having built some beautiful furniture, clocks, crucifixes, and shelves for all of his children. He was always generous with his time helping his children with numerous home projects such as building fences, refinishing furniture, or just about anything they needed his help or advice on. One of his last woodworking projects was the stable for the nativity at St. James Church, which is used every year for Christmas. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, sons in-law and grandsons for many years. He started a knife repair business several years ago and enjoyed rebuilding old knives. He was a member of a knife club in Wichita arid went to monthly meetings with local friends who enjoyed the same hobby. He loved going to the flea market once a month with his grandsons to see what kind of treasures he could find.
He found many beautiful religious pictures and crucifixes, which he usually couldn't pass up, and has given many of those items for gifts to his children and grandchildren. He loved holidays and family gettogethers, especially Christmas. He was a man of quiet faith. He was faithful to what he knew to be true, and a wonderful example of a husband and father.
