34, AUGUSTA

Jenny L. DeWater, 34, Augusta, passed away on Thursday, May 10,
2012.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Tuesay, I May 15, at’J Baker Funeral Home, Wichita.
Jenny is survived by: son, Kent; and fiance, Ben Rausch, both of the home; mother, Cindy (Michael) Sasser of Wichita; father, Robert DeWater of So. Hutchinson; sister,Heather DeWater of Chase; stepbrothers, Scott Sasser of Rose Hill, Cale Sasser of Derby and Jordan Sasser of Wichita; grandmother, Lois De-Water of So. Hutchinson; one niece and one nephew
A memorial has been established with the Lupus Foundation.

Brittany D. Graham Pitzer, 18, died Friday, May 11,2012.
Visitation wiith family present will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the First Christian Church in El Dorado.
Survivors include: husband, Matthew Pitzer; mother, Elizabeth Nunley and stepfather, James Young of Leon; father, Shannon Kofoid of Girard, BoDean and Braeden Graham of Leon; sisters, Brooklyn Young of El Dorado and Chelsey Williams of Leon; grandparents, Tom and Sally Young and Johnnie and Sandra Graham, all of El Dorado; great-grandparents, Harold and Elsie Ahlstedt of El Dorado.

81, HAYSVILLE

Mary E. "Corky" Evans, 81, retired Boeing Assembler, of Haysville, died Saturday, May 12, 2012.
Viewing 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 6-8 p.m.; service 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17, both at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 siblings.
Survivors: husband, Raymond; daughter, Russett Stubbs (Byron) of Haysville; son, Gale Evans (Debbie) of Augusta; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 7 siblings.

James Robert Cox, Jr.
64, AUGUSTA

James Robert Cox, Jr., 64, (also known as JR, Jim, Jimmy, Little Jim, Coxy and Aldo) of Augusta, passed away in his home Saturday, May 12, 2012.
He was bom April 18,1948 in El Dorado, to the late James and Doris Cox. He graduated from El Dorado High School in May 1966. On July 5,1969 he married Colleen Kirkland Cox in El Dorado who preceded him in death Nov. 20, 2010.
He is survived by: daughters, Gretchen Cox of Roeland Park, Kan. and Lainie Cox Rawlings (Jarrod) of Augusta; brother, Steve Cox (Ame Holden)
of Oceanside, Calif.; sister, Ava Walt (Howard) of Grain Valley Mo., and Dana Bell of El Dorado; brother, Jeff Cox (Melanie) of Augusta; sister-in-law, Billee Kirkland Douglass (William) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Katelyn (8) and Gracyn (5) Cox, and Chase (2) and Tripp (9 mo.) Rawlings; seven nephews and nieces.
He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, friend and Poppie, and was a lover of all animals. He loved life and lived it as a free spirit with his infectious laugh and "everyday is a birthday" attitude. He did what he wanted, never was afraid to fail and always followed his passion for music.
As the bass guitar player for The Weasels, they won a number of the battle of the bands and recorded an album in 1970. Later in life he still enjoyed playing reunions and special events with the band and planning bombastic production parties.
He held many jobs and careers throughout his life. He worked as the paper delivery boy for the Eagle Beacon, El Dorado, Dog Pooper Scooper at the Barr's Kennel in El Dorado, Mug Washer at A&W in El Dorado, Gas Station attendant at Pac's Filling Station in ElDorado, care taker at Fox Lake, janito-rial/maintenance for Howard Harrison in Wichita, owner of Cox Rotor Ruder in Wichita, Carpenter's Union for Mid West Drywall in Wichita, tried his hand at being an oil tycoon with JR Cox Hydrocarbon and Solar Energy in Augusta, worked for Lee Edwards at Edwards Construction in ElDorado, bought Edwards Construction and created Cox Leasing and various spin offs of that company and worked as planner/estimator at F&H Insulation in Kechi.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at the Headley
Funeral Chapel 813 State St, Augusta.
