Claudia Ann Cash 57, Douglass, retired Sedgwick County Juvenile Detention Center, Administrative Assistant, passed away, Friday, June 22, 2012.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m.; funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, Smith Mortuary, Derby; graveside service to follow at at noon, at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield.

Beverly Fay Kolter
52. DOUGLASS

Beverly Fay Kolter, 52, Douglass, dental assistant at Derby Dental Care, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service was held today, at North Woodlawn Baptist Church in Derby. Interment followed at Douglass Cemetery.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Fay Brady; a brother, Donald Brady; and a nephew, Sam Brady.
Survivors include: her husband, Dale; sons, Brandon (Lindsey), Andrew (Erin McNeil), and Michael Kolter, all of Douglass; sisters, Marjorie (Steven) Mattke, Augusta, and Carolyn Lucas, Wichita; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established with South-gate Country Baptist Church, P.O. Box 267, Haysville, KS 67060. Arrangements by Smith Mortuary, Derby.


Ettamae Belew
88, ANDOVER

Ettamae G. Belew, 88, Andover, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012.
A gathering will be held with family greeting friends from 7-9 p.m. on TYiesday, June 26, 2012; memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, both at the First Baptist Church in Garnett.
Ettamae is survived by: her husband, Vernon; brother-in-law, Lloyd Schrader; daughters, Barbara Belew, Penny Murphy, and Billie AJtenhofen; sons-in-law, Joe Altenhofen and Paul Murphy; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She preceded in death by: her parents, Bill and Greeta Goff; sister, Alberta; and daughter, Linda.

Jeffery Mattix
68, AUGUSTA

Jeffery C. Mattix, 68, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at his home surrounded by family.
Visitation 6-8p.m.
Tuesday, and service 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Jeff was born in Wichita, on Sept. 29,1943, to Wanda Lee (Stear-man) Stephens and the late Clinton Ray Mattix. He served in the U.S.
I Army as a Corporal. Jeff retired as a ramp service employee at TWA for 35 years. On Jan. 10,1966 at Miami, Okla, he married Anita Ruth (Schick) Mattix, who survives him.
He is also survived by: daughter, Shannon Meins and husband Kirk of Wichita; son, Aaron Mattix of Wichita; mother Wanda Stephens of Augusta; brother, Jon Mattix and wife Barbara of Garfield, Ark.; grandchildren, Levi and Kyle Davidson and Madeline Mattix; aunt, Doris Stearman; Odie the farm
grandparents, Guy and Maxie (Sly) Stearman, Simon Cyrilis and Effie Mattix.

Darwin Olson

Darwin Olson, died on June 24, 2012.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church.

James Marshall

James Marshall passed away on April 11,2012.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 28th, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
