80, AUGUSTA

Lois E. Rodden, 80, of Augusta, passed away Tuesday,July 17,2012 at home.
Memorial service 10 a.m. Satur-day, July 28,2012, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Lois was born in Moundridge, Kan. on Nov. 8,1931, to the late Hulda (Vogts) and Herman Otte. She was a retired beautician, and also retired as a bookkeeper for Rural Water District #4. On July 16, 1955 in Augusta, she married John C Rodden and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Glen Otte. She is survived by: a son, John Rodden II and wife Debra of Augusta; step son, Bill Rodden his wife Pam and their daughter Gretchen of Longmont, CO; brothers, Clyde Otte and Gary Otte both of Moundridge.

72, Augusta

Judy Lee (Emm) Canfield , 72, homemaker, passed away Tuesday,
July 24, 2012, at her home. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 29, from 3-5
p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Monday July 30, at 2:00 p.m. at tne First United Methodist Church.
Judy was born December 13,1939, to Minor and Ella Emm in Pontiac, Illinois. She married Marvin Ernest Canfield on March 2,1956, in Prairie Village, Kansas.
Survivors include her sons David Canfield, Dennis (Leslie) Canfield all of Augusta, D. Jay (Sheryl) Canfield of Portland, Ore.; daughters D. Joanne Can-field of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Denise Houghton of Thcson, Ariz.; sister Eleanor Corrigan of Chicago, 111.; 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren,.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents andher husband Marvin Canfield.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church, 2420 North Ohio, Augusta, 67010

Iris Malcom
88, Augusta

Iris O. Bally Malcom, 88, passed away July 23, 2012.
She was born May 12, 1924 in Andover, Kan., to Blanche and Frank Bally.
She was married 69 years to Max Malcom, who survives. Iris retired as a state of Kansas Employee; her tenure included time at WSU Controller's Office and Kansas State Employee Office.
She was the pillar of her family and was secretary for the WWII 757 Tank Battalion veterans' reunions. Friends and family, and sometimes strangers, fondly remember her for her beautiful quilts and prolific letter writing.
She donated hours of time and talent to the United Methodist Church in Augusta, Kan., through the last 50 years and to Meals on Wheels.
Iris is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Ina Grimes and Vera Ward, and infant great-grandson Christopher Malcom.
She is survived by her husband, Max, sons David Malcom of Skiatook, Okla., and Paul Malcom (Janet) of Wichita, Kan.; daughters Kathy Burkholder (Tom) and Janel Malcom of Henderson, Nev.; grandsons Michael and Brian Malcom of Tulsa, Okla., and Zach Leritz of Henderson, NV; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Augusta United Methodist Church.
A memorial has been established at the Augusta United Methodist Church. Donations may also be sent to your local Meals on Wheels.

Jennifer Jean Marr, 33, of Wichita, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
