Dona L. Sitzler
84, BOULDER, COLO.

Dona L. Sitzler, 84, former Gilpin County, Colo, treasurer and mother of David Haagenstad of Augusta, passed away on July 14, 2012, in Boulder, Colo.
A memorial service was held on Aug. 3, at the Frasier Meadows Nursing Facility in Boulder.
Dona was born on July 19,1927, in Winterset, Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl Leslie and Bertha Barker; seven siblings; husband, George Haagenstad in 1963; husband, Eugene Robert Sitzler in 1984; stepson Stanley Sitzler and stepdaughter Terri Sitzler.
She is survived by: sons, Harvey (Betty) Haagenstad of Ojo Caliente, NM, Ronald (Margaret) Haagenstad of Black Hawk, Colo., and David (Ardith) Haagenstad of Augusta; daughter, Jacqueline (Jack) Williams of Wis-casset, Maine; stepdaughter, Denise Marleau of Auburn, Wash.; 14 grandchildren, including Troy (Kara) Haagenstad of Augusta,
and Bryan Haagenstad of Stillwater, Okla.; 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren

Cova Potter
92, AUGUSTA

Cova June (Lofton) Potter, 92, Augusta, homemaker, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. Potter 9, 2012, at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, visitation with family greeting friends and family from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, all in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Cova was born Oct. 29, 1919, to Lester and Lulu (Scammell) Lofton in Carney, Okla. She married Merle Allen Potter on Oct. 29, 1936, in Stillwater, Okla.
Her survivors include: son Edward Potter and his wife Darlene of Leon;
daughter Norma Wilson and her husband Jerry of Orange Park, Fla.; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Cova was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Merle Potter in 2007; brothers, Roscoe, Everett and Harley Lofton; sisters, Ruth Pickett and Hazel Thomas.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.

Mildred Goad
95, ST. JOSEPH, MO.

Mildred Elaine Goad, 95, of St. Joseph, Mo., formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, Aug.9, 2012 in a St. Joseph healthcare facility.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17; funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, both at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Mildred was bom Dec. 11,1916, to James B. and Clara Earll Marshall in Haverhill. She graduated from El Dorado High School and received an associate of arts degree from El Dorado Junior College.
She married Marvin A. Goad on Sept. 11, 1938. She went to the east coast to be near Marvin during his service in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war ended, they built a home west of Augusta and lived there until Marvin's death in 1999.
Mildred was an active member of Central Baptist Church. She was pianist for the church choir for many years and often provided special music for Sunday morning services. She was a long time member of the American Baptist Women.
She is survived by: son, Craig, and his wife Stacia Bensyl, and their children, Brendan, Aislinn, and Maeve, all of St. Joseph; nieces, Janice Kay (Ed) Wilson of Augusta, and Jeannine Bewley of Amarillo, Texas; nephew, John (Terry) Marshall, of Newton; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; brother, Murray Marshall; sister, Thelma Voelm.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Central Baptist Church, 7421SW Church Rd., Augusta, KS 67010 or in care of the funeral home.
