Francis ‘Corky’ McNairy
83, AUGUSTA
Francis "Corky" McNairy, 83, of Augusta, passed away Saturday, Dec.
8, 2012 at home.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec.13,
2012 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. A private burial will take place at Greenwich Cemetery, Wichita.
Corky was born in Augusta on Nov. 6,1929, to the late Erma (Weaver) and Milo McNairy. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a mail carrier. On March 25,1966 at Miami, Okla, he married Ruby (Hodges) McNairy and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Milo McNairy.
He is survived by: step son, Mike Colen and wife Pam; step grandchildren,
Jeffery and Elizabeth Colen; special children, Joann and Dusty Latham, special grandchildren, Brody and Britney Latham.
Memorial donations to Kansas Humane Society 3313 N Hillside Wichita, KS 67219.

Kathryn Margaret (Tabor) Dowell, 92, homemaker, passed away Friday, Dec. 7,2012, at Emeritus Assisted Living in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11; funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, both at the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta.
Kathryn was born Jan. 21,1920, to Charles Marion and Elizabeth (Mueller) Tabor in Tarkio, Mo. She married Robert Barry Dowell on Sept. 2, 1939, in El Dorado.
Survivors include: sons, Lloyd ’Whitey" Dowell of Augusta, Floyd (Kathryn) Dowell of Leon, Donald (Twyla) Dowell of Leon; daughters, Kathy (Marvin) Latimer of Augusta and Judith Sharp of Derby; brother, Ray (Ann) Tabor of Clearwater, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 45 greatgrandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ronald; daughter-in-law, Sondra Dowell; son-in-law, Stanley Sharp; two sisters and four brothers; grandson, Robert Burling; great-granddaughter, Cassie.
Memorials have been established in lieu of flowers to Amedisys Hospice or Victory Worship Center, both in care of the funeral home.
