72, AUGUSTA

Robert Marshall Avila, 72, retired United States Air Force Tech Sergeant and retired Boeing tool | crib attendant passed away,Saturday, Jan.5, 2013, at his home in Augusta.
Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Dunsford Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta.
Interment with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. at El Paso Cemetery, Derby.
Robert was born April 9, 1940, to Manuel and Rose (Costova) Avila in New Bedford, Mass. He loved fishing, reading, movies and woodworking. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Bob is survived by: his sons, Lloyd (Diana) Avila of Jacksonville, Fla., John (Tricia) Avila of Derby, and Jim (Liz) Avila of Clearwater; daughters, Gloria (Bill) Shanahan of Shawnee, and Tina (Marshall) Manahan of Augusta.; 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his spouses, Agnes, Ardith and Estelle; a sister, Barbara Tardiff; and an infant grandson.
A memorial has been established with St. James Catholic Church, 1010 Belmont, Augusta 67010.

Kenneth Ray Shaw, 21, of Douglass, passed away Friday,
Jan.4, 2013 in an automobile accident south of Augusta.
There willp be a gathering of friends and family from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, with remembrance sharing at 2 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Ken was born in Wichita, on March 14, 1991, to Michelle (Ades) and William Shaw. He was employed at Dairy Queen of Augusta.
Ken is survived by: his son, Jaydon Shaw of El Dorado; daughter, Kay-dence Burling of Rosalia; parents; brothers, William Shaw of Douglass and Chris Shaw of Wichita; stepsisters, Heather and Brooke Souder; half-brothers, William Clayton and Garrett Richard, both of Oklahoma; grandpar-
ents, Sue and Dave Carroll of Douglass; great-grandmother, Jackie Dean of Cottonwood Falls; aunt and uncle, Melissa and Randy Klaus; uncle, Mike Ades; great-aunts, Linda Southerland and Cindy Swick.
Memorial donations may be made to Augusta Community Caring Center.

Donna Blanche (Wilson) Marshall, 85, homemaker of Augusta, passed away Friday, Jan. 4,
2013, while | visiting her | son and daughter-in-law in Henderson, Nev.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. All friends are invited to the funeral home for coffee and refreshments from 12 to 12;30 p.m. The procession from the funeral home to the cemetery will be at 12:30 p.m. Agrave-side service will be at 1 p.m. at Augusta’s Elmwood Cemetery. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
Donna was born Jan, 21, 1927, in Wichita, to George Edgar and Pearl Marie (Quillen) Wilson. She graduated from Augusta High School and married Vernie William Marshall on March 29, 1944, in El Dorado. Donna was a member of the First Christian Church and bridge club.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; parents; daughter, Judith Ann Little; sisters, Betty Hutter and Eleanor Crowder; half-brother, Carl Smith and a half sister Fern Pray.
Her survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Marshall of Henderson, Ne\£f^ brother and his wife, Ed and Janice Wilson of Augusta; sister and her husband, Mary and Carroll Eastin of Augusta; grandson, Darren Little; step grandson, Justin Frazier; great-grandsons, Gabriel Little, Marshall Rundell-Little and Aiden Frazier.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church, 1600 State Street, Augusta, KS 67010.
