Daniel Bastian
60, AUGUSTA

Daniel Eugene Bastian, 60, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation with family greeting friends will be held 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013; funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, both in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel.
Daniel was born Oct. 13, 1952, to Elmer
Matthew and Wilma Lee (Singles) Bastian in Coolidge, Kan. He married Cindy Kay Shaver on Dec. 13, i982, in Newkirk, Okla. Daniel managed the Douglass Grain & Feed elevator in Douglass.
His survivors include his wife, Cindy of the home; mother, Wilma Lee Bastian of El Cajon, Calif ; daughters, Deana Bastian (Homer King) of Augusta, Cheryl Moore of Douglass,
I Kimberley Tate (Terrence Cordray) of Marceline, Mo., and Rebecca (Ryan) Pinick of Derby; sons, Bri-I an Bastian of Leavenworth, Kan., Lonnie (Izetta) Smith-Bastian of Winfield, Danny (Rita) Bastian, Jr., of Augusta and Brenten "B. J." Bastian of the home; brothers, Gerald Bastian of Douglass and Matt Bastian of El Cajon, Calif; sisters, Patricia Lynn Reynolds of Aurora, Colo., Gail Ann (Lee) Phipps and Sherri Lee Smith, all of El Cajon, Calif.; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Ann (Sartin) Bastian, his father, Elmer Bastian, sister, and Carolyn Sue Hennessy.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
