83, DOUGLASS

Mildred Francis (Isom) Lee, 83, homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, of Douglass, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. Sunday, and service 3 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will be at Douglass Cemetery.
Mildred was born in Jonesboro, Ark. on Nov. 9, 1929, to the late Roselie (Gamble) and Ezra Isom. On Nov. 9,1955 at Miami, Okla., she married John Wesley Lee and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Angel (Higgins) Evans.
She is survived by: sons, John E. Lee of Douglass, and Robert W. Lee and wife LeaAnn of Douglass; daughters, Shirley Larimer and husband Larry of Wichita, and Patty Bolden and husband Jim of Columbus; sisters, Inez Rogers and husband Opie of Arkansas, Ida Radford of North Carolina, Evelyn Hill of Oklahoma, Genise Cruz and husband Bernard of Parsons, and Peggy, and husband Roger Montez of Lebanon, Mo.; grandchildren, Timothy Calvert, Melissa Lee, Joshua Lee, Christi Waller (Carlos), Shannon Higgins, Aaron Overbey (Ash-leigh), Jennifer Calvert (Tony), Whitney Bolden; great grandchildren, Alex Scriven, Joseph and Justin Martin, Samara, Dominic and Emma Waller, Grady and Courtney Meyer, Dylan Fenwick, Dexter and Overbev; great-great - grandson, Easton Meyer.
Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.

90. AUGUSTA

Guy Whittington, 90, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013.
There will be no visitation and a graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 3,2013, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance
Guy was born in Florence, Kan. on July 24, 1922, to the late Minnie Bell (Gurley) and Jesse Olen Whittington. He served in the U.S. Army i during WWIII and the I Korean War. Guy worked as a delivery-man and installer for WW Appliancemart and he also was a painter.
He is survived by: a sister, Eva Whittington of Augusta; and a brother, Donald Whittington of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sylvia McGrew and Alberta Callahan and a brother Kenneth.
