Dorothy May Seaburn
93, SALINA

Dorothy May Seaburn, 93, of Salina, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Friday, May 24,2013 while in the company of family members, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 31,2013, at Glid-den-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.
Inurnment of cremated remains will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
She was born in Augusta, on April 5, 1920, a daughter of the late Bessie May (Hartup) Jordan and Cleo Melvin Ray.
Dorothy attended and graduated from the Lily Lake School, rural Augusta.
She was a homemaker and through the years worked at ABC Cleaners, Duckwalls and later Thoman's Variety Store in McPherson as a clerk and cashier, for over 40 years.
Dorothy was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 Ladies Auxiliary, and attended First Christian Church, all of McPherson.
Dorothy May Ray was united in marriage to Jay Seaburn on Oct. 14,1936 at Winfield. Jay died on June 1,1978.
She is survived by: two daughters, Nancy JoAnn Hendershot and Sharon Kay Darrah and husband Charles Rush, all of Salina; two sisters, Betty Ml, of LaPorte, Colo, and Pauline Stanley, of Clinton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Bob Hunter of Salina, Steve Darrah of Topeka, and Julie Crowston and husband Chad of Renton, Wash.; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Darrah
of Ames, Iowa, Darrah Crowston and Scott Crowston, both of Renton, Wash.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jay; and a brother, Cleo Ray.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS 67460.




Joseph Daniel Everett
19, AUGUSTA

Joseph Daniel Everett, 19, of Augusta, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at his home.
Celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at Benton Church in Benton, Kan. Burial will follow at the Benton Cemetery.
Joseph was born Sept. 14, 1993 in Wichita, the son of Matt and Angela (Healy) Everett. He worked at the Goodwill in Augusta and Andover. He loved to ride BMX bikes, fish, skate boarding, draw and build almost anything.
Survivors include: parents, Matt and Angela Everett; brother, Jonathan Everett, all of Augusta; grandparents, John and Nancy Everett of Benton; grandmother and husband, Janet and Ken Dulvany of Wichita; grandfather, Daniel Healy of Mission, Texas; great-grandmother, Aileen Asburg of Latham; girlfriend, Janessa Alverez of El Dorado; and many uncles and aunts and cousins.
A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses and may be left at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Send condolences to www.carlsoncolonial.com.

Patricia 'Pat’ McKinney
76, AUGUSTA

Patricia “Pat” L. McKinney, 76, Augusta, retired baker and Great Plains Industry employee, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013.
Funeral service was held today at 2 p.m. at Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church, Augusta.
She was born in Los Angeles, Calif, on Jan. 17, 1937 to Harold and Alma "Mellen" Stewart, on May 14,1983 she married Clyde "Tex" McKinney in Wichita, and they just celebrated 30 years together.
Pat is survived by: her husband, Clyde ’Tex"; children, Steve (Shelley) McKinney, Mark (Susayn Brandes) McKinney, Darlene (Thomas) Miller, Kathy (Ted) Glover and Sheila; sister Linda (Albert) Cordell; brother, Donnie (Elizabeth) Stewart; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Annie and Shirley
The family has requested memorial donations be made to Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church.
