Mary Chandler
60, AUGUSTA

Mary Louise Chandler, 60, of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Andover.
Closed casket visitation with family, 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Headley Funeral Chapel, and service 10 a.m .Monday, July 15, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Mary was born in Laurel, Jones County, Miss, on Oct. 4,1952, to the late Helen (Harrison) and Sam Lindsey. On July 10, 1970 at Laurel, Miss, she married Harris Chandler who survives her.
In 1974, she received her bachelor's degree in music education from Mississippi State University. She then taught music for 19 years in Augusta.
She is also survived by: sons, Harris Chandler Jr., and Robby Chandler and wife Bethany, all of Augusta; step daughter, Shari Kohs of Houston, Texas; brother, Sam Lindsey III and wife Diane of St. Marys, Ga.; sister, Jane Reed Crawford and husband Bob of Columbus, Miss.; grandchildren, Ariane, Aidan, and Braxton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed gardening and hand work, and had a passion for music and the Lord. She was a member of SAI, PEO, DAR, and BSF.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter Lillian.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Choir 2420 N. Ohio Augusta, KS 67010.

Maxine Burrows
95, OSAWATOMIE

Maxine D. Burrows of Osawatomie, Kan., formerly of rural Lane, Kansas, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Vintage Park Assisted Living in Osawatomie after a life well lived of 95 years.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Pemwell -Gabel Funeral Home, 605 O'Neal , Osawatomie, KS. Qftye-side services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Lane Cemetery, Lane, Kan.
Maxine was born Feb. 17,1918 in Augusta, She was the younger of two daughters born to Milton S. and Elizabeth M. (Wilson) Deibert. She grew up in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School with the Class of 1935.
Maxine was united in marriage to Dellmar J. Burrows on July 20,1936 in Little River, Kan. From 1936 until 1943, Maxine followed her husband with his line of work in the oil fields and heavy construction. One particular year they moved thirteen times. They became the parents of two children, one son James Milton and one daughter Jane Maureen. In Aug.of 1943, they moved to Paola where they made their home until moving to rural Lane in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dellmar who died May 27, 2006; her sister Jewell Hagaman who died March 14,1991; and one great grandson, Joshua Shane who died June 12, 2012.
She is survived by: son, Jim Burrows and his wife Carol of Overland Park; daughter, Jane Stout and her husband Bob of rural Lane, Kan.; six grandchildren, Shane Stout (Debby), Bruce Stout (Toni), Elizabeth Rhine (David), Holly Burrows, Mindy Shane, Kerry Adam (Matt); 13 great-grandchildren Steffany Madden (Josh), Kaylee Hurt (Trevor), Kelsey Stout, Kaitlyn Stout, Taylor Stout, Caleb Rhine, Adkin Vobach, HanaNassiripour, Derik Shane, Jacob Shane, Tyler Shane, Matthew Adam, and Madeleine Adam; three great- greatgrandchildren, Jayden and Sayge Madden and Eleanor Shane; other relatives and friends.
Memorials are to the Lane United Methodist Church and can be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, P. O. Box 280, Osawatomie, KS, 66064.

92, EL DORADO

Hazel C. Stackley, 92, El Dorado, passed away Friday July 12, 2013.
Celebration of life will be 2:30 p.m. Tbesday, July 16, 2013, at Kirby Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery El Dorado

Nadine Moreland
78, AUGUSTA

Nadine "Joyceā€¯ (Stahl) Moreland, 78, homemaker, passed away, Friday, July 12, 2013, at her home in Augusta.
Viewing will be on Monday, July 15, from 1-5 p.m., with visitation following and family greeting friends on Monday, July 15, from 5-7 p.m. both at Dunsford Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, at Gracepoint Church (formerly First Assembly of God) 3626 N. Ohio in Augusta. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
She was born Feb. 1, 1935, to Wilbur and Eunice (Lechien) Stahl in Paonia, Colo. She married Everett Moreland on July 3,1953.
Joyce is survived by: her daughter and her husband, Kim and Ron Green of Wichita; son and his wife, Jim and Linda Moreland of Augusta; 5 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren; brother, Gary (Jean) Stahl of Wichita.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Eunice Stahl, and spouse, Everett Moreland.
