Mary McVay
87, AUGUSTA

Mary Virginia (Cease) McVay, 87, of Augusta, was met at the gates of Heaven by Jim, the love of her life, on July 12, McVay 2013 and together they went to see Jesus.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta.
Mary was born in Wichita, on April 17,1926, to the late Maude (Etnire) and Henry Cease. She worked at Prairie State Bank, but most importantly was a mother and grandmother. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 87 years. On Feb 12,1946 at the Methodist Church in Augusta, she married Jim McVay.
Left behind for a future joyous reunion are her loving family: daughter, Kathy Oliver and husband Paul of Augusta; son, Jim McVay, Jr. and wife Doris of Erie; son, Henry McVay and wife Rita of Valley Center; son, David McVay and wife Debbie of Plains; daughter, Ruthi Howard and husband Larry of Augusta; grandchildren Cheryl and Kevin Brewer, Jenny Oliver, Chris and Abby Oliver, James McVay III, Gina and Michael Jew, John McVay, Randy and Emily McVay, Emily and Tanner Norris, Molly and Chris
Malcolm, J. J. and Todd George, Laura and Daven Vo, Bree Downs, Kinsy and Trish McVay, Kendall and Sarah McVay, Kollisa and Nick Capo, Tim Howard, Wendi and John Doyle; great-grandchildren Kolton and Cooper Brewer, Grade and Taylor Russell, Aymon Oliver, Kai McVay, Jaycey McVay, Charlee Jew, Kelsey Coleman, Blaine, Mia and George McVay, Mason and Audrey Norris, Carly Espinosa, Christian, Alyssa, Nicky and Jayden Malcolm, Rylee George, Kora Vo, Chandler Brockett, Owen Downs, Braedon, Greyson and Ava McVay, Marie and Clara McVay, Chloe Capo, Elayne, Noah, Johnny and Lili Doyle; great-great grandson, Ben-jamyn Brockett; a sister-in-law, Opal Crowder; numerous nieces and nephews, her dog Maxie, three cats, and many many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Henry '’Sonny" Cease Jr.; a grandson, Christopher McVay and great-grandchildren Ali McVay-Jolly and Sweet Pea Capo.
