Aleda Mae McCullah
79, LAS VEGAS, NV Former Augusta resident, Aleda Mae McCullah (Auernheimer) died August 19, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. Aleda was bom Sept. 20,1933 to Edward and Margaret Auernheimer.
Aleda graduated from Augusta High School in 1951. She married Harvey L. McCullah in 1951.
Aleda was preceded in death by her parents, , a sister Edith, two brothers Lloyd and Robert Auern-
heimer, and her son William O. McCullah.
Survivors are: sister Alice Simon (Elmer); brothers Richard Auernheimer (Marie), Wilber Auernheimer, Russell Auenheimer (Maria), several nieces and nephews.

Helen Spivey
89, WICHITA

Helen Louise (Gardner) Spivey entered Heaven’s gate on Sunday,
Sept. 8, 2013, at age 89, to be with her savior Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
The celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Benton Church in Benton, Kan. Burial will follow in the Towanda Cemetery, Towanda, Kan.
Helen was born in Augusta, on May 29, 1924. She worked at Boeing where she met the love of her life Max W. Spivey. They were united in marriage on Sept. 9,1944 in El Dorado. A dedicated wife, mom and homemaker, Helen was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. In her earlier years she loved playing the guitar and singing, especially with her sisters. The Lord had given Helen the gift of encouragement to anyone who crossed her path and being a prayer warrior for her church and her family. Helen loved to travel and was always ready to go. She and Max traveled to many places and got to do many enjoyable things in their retirement years. One of their favorite places was Branson, Mo. The hole family would spend vacations with them making wonderful memories..
Helen and Max were very active in the “Jolly Sixties Group” at their church in Rogers, Ark., where they lived for 16 years of their retirement, moving back to Kansas in 2004.
Helen is survived by: her husband Max of their home in Wichita; her children, Janice (Mitch) Albertson, Towanda, Kynda (Merv) Wiltshire, Wichita, Roger Spivey, Sarasota, Fla., Kurt (Michelle) Spivey, El Dorado; 10 grandchildren and 25 great- great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Innes Wike of Augusta and Bernice Carriager (Rick) of Fort Scott, Kan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Osa Gardner, and sister Doris Shyrock, all of Augusta, grandaughter, Ali Jo Albertson.
Memorials cna be made out to Hospice of Wichita.

She was born Feb. 1, 1954, to Frank and Lydia Pearl (Elgin) Church in El Dorado. Linda graduated from Augusta High School in 1972. She was united in marriage to John Calvin on June 29, 1996.
Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, as well as computer games.

Preceding Linda in death are her parents; step-father, Clifford "Rosie" Dexter; and husband, Adrain Adams.
Memorials have been established with the Multiple Sclerosis Association, American Cancer Society, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Victory in the Valley all in care of the funeral home.
