Russell Shaw
64, ROSE HILL

Russell “Rusty” Shaw, 64, Rose Hill, flew into the loving arms of his Lord on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.
Viewing from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct, 7; funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, all in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Interment to follow in the Richland Cemetery, near Rose Hill, Kan.
Rusty was born on March 12,1949, in Ada, Okla. He was retired and a proud, wounded Vietnam Vet who spent his days at home in the country in Rose Hill, Kan. He was a retired machinist from Boeing. Rusty was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend his days hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. He loved dogs, animals, movies, never met a stranger, and always enjoyed a good laugh. He was a family man, first and foremost. He loved his wife, children and extended family to no end. But above all else, he loved his grandchildren and, in return, they adored him beyond words.
Rusty had a love for life and a desire to help anyone, without question, at any given moment. He loved the Lord with all his heart. God gained a beautiful angel and proud warrior in Heaven.
Rusty is survived by: his wife, Brenda Shaw of Rose Hill; sons, Aaron Shaw of Ukiah, Calif., Jeremiah Shaw of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Jacob Shaw of Derby, Russell C. Shaw of Hot Springs, Ark.; daughter, Jessica Williams of Douglass; two sisters, Rhonda Igo of Derby, and Rita Crawford of Goddard; mother, Evelyn Shaw of Goddard; 14 grandchildren.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Russell Shaw, and a grandson, Mason Landon Shaw.

Corbin Wayne Collier, 14, Augusta, passed away Saturday,
5, 2013 from injuries in an automobile accident.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Wichita.
Corbin was born on Dec. 21,1998 in Wichita to Lucinda Marie Collier and Brian Patrick Collier. Corbin was a student at Augusta Middle School. He was active in football, basketball, baseball and soccer.
He is survived by: his mother, Cindy, Goddard and father, Brian, of Georgia; brothers, David DeMayo and wife Kandy, Goddard, Dustin De-Mayo and fiance Kayla Banzet, Lawrence, and Sean DeMayo, Augusta; sister, Dawn DeMayo, Dallas Texas; grandparents, David St. Peter, Wichita and Doris Christman, Wichita.

92, AUGUSTA

Margaret Maxine Turner, 92, Augusta, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013.
No viewing and service 1 p.m.Thursday, Oct.lO, 2013, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Margaret was born in Leon, Kan. on Aug.6, 1921, to the late Ella (Martin) and Archie Wartick. She retired as a sheet metal assembler at Boeing and Cessna.
Margaret was a loving, faithful wife, mother and homemaker. She was a fierce defender of family, loyal to her commitments and integrity. She had compassion and empathy for all who struggled or had less.
She also was the family historian and bibliographer for 4 generations, linking the threads of time and events, preserving photos and records for expanding family, providing the great gift and bonds of sweet nostalgia for all.
In Feb.of 1939 at El Dorado she married Jesse L. Turner, who preceded her in death on 1997- She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mae Luttrell; and grandson, Eric Scott Turner.
She is survived by: sons, Vernon Turner of Augusta and Marc Turner of Parkville, Mo.; daughter, Glenis Shackelford of Fayetteville, Ark.; brother, Frank Wartick of El Dorado; sister, Viola Bankston of Augusta; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-greatgrandchildren. We will all miss you mom!
