Erin J. Weaver, 31
Erin Joy (Meyersick) Weaver, 31, born Jan. 29,1983 and lived a caring life until Feb. 6,2014.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at Augusta
United Methodist Church.
Erin grew up in the Benton community, attended the Greenwich United Methodist Church, graduated in 2001 from Circle High School, and later studied at Butler County Community College. She worked in home health, office management, and as a 911 dispatcher. She dearly loved her family and her service to others was a reflection of her Christian faith. She enjoyed providing meals to the homeless as part of her church’s outreach. In her short life, she showed a flair for music composition, photography, and other creative arts. She had a love for the family farm and often assisted with harvest.
She is survived by: her son, Justin Gettings; stepsons, Justin and Josh Weaver, Jason Calvert; parents, Darryl and Marsha Meyersick of Benton; brother, Tyler Meyersick of Lawrence; grandmother, Fay Meyersick of Benton; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

TOWANDA
Allison Jean Thomas, 48
Allison “Jean” Thomas, 48, passed away peacefully in her home in Towanda, on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Prairie Hills Baptist Church, 9959 SW Pampas Rd., west of Augusta. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemtery in Augusta. Western wear, jeans and boots are the requested attire.
Jean was born April 15, 1965, to Al and Pauline Louise (White) Teter in Wichita.
She graduated from Augusta High School in 1983 and completed Butler County Community College Nursing School in 1993. She loved her job as a nurse. She loved horses. She loved to train them and she had a special place in her heart for her horses “Lilly” and “Z” as well as her beloved dog “Ace”.
Survivors include: her husband, Rick Bartel of the home; son, Clint Connor; stepsons, Bret and wife Brittany Bartel of Wichita, and Brandon and wife Kendra Bartel; granddaughter, Remington of Minot, N.D.; brother, Jack James of Augusta; sister, Barb and husband Terry Smart of Augusta; multiple nieces and nephews and a multiple great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials have been established with Flint Hills Therapeutic Riding Center or Hope in the Valley, Horse Rescue & Sanctuary, wrww.hopeinthevalleye-quinerescue.org. or with The American Cancer Society all in care of Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
