AUGUSTA
Sue Robinson, 66
Sue Robinson, 66, of Augusta, was born on March 30, 1948, and releases
from this earth and into Jesus’ arms on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Private services will be held.
Sue was a spiritual person and loved to be outdoors in nature. Gardening was a passion and she could preserve the best watermelon pickles and the hottest hot sauce, which would clean out a person’s sinuses. She thrived living on their farm.
She is survived by: daughters, Nondie Hanna and husband Steve of Lawrence, and Tobie Lang and husband Matt of Valley Center; grandchildren, Sidney and Kyler Lang and Cortney Hanna; father, Bill Black; sister, Glennys Bills; brother, Steve Black.
She was preceded in death by: daughter, Rhonda; husband, Wayne; mother, Ozetta; and brother, Glenn.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Mary L. Courtwright, 94

Mary Lavinia Courtwright, 94, homemaker of Augusta, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014.
Viewing 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Headley Funeral Chapel.
Service 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at First Southern Baptist Church,
Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Mary was born in Palestine, Texas on March 9, 1920, to the late Amanda Amelia (Self) and Thomas Roland Thurman, Sr. On Feb. 28,1946 she married Ewell Raymond Courtwright in Tyler, Texas. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Philip Thomas Courtwright; brothers, Felix "Bernard” Thurman, Thomas Roland Thurman Jr. and a granddaughter, Amy Rae Adams.
She is survived by: daughter in law, Carol Courtwright of Augusta; grandchildren, Julie Renee Courtwright of Ames, Iowa, Eric Wayne Courtwright (Joey) of Langhorn, Pa.; 4 great-grandchildren.
