Ramona K. Yarbrough, 49

Ramona Kay Yarbrough, 49, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1 2014, in Wichita.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., fol lowed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. oi Thursday, May 22, 2014, both in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta.
Ramona was born March 9, 1965, to Billy Gene and Georgia (Norris) Harrison in Harrisburg, Ala.
Her survivors include: her mother, Georgia Fay Heis and her husband Red of Powhatan, Va.; daughter Kathy Stanczak of NC; brother, Billy Harrison and wife, Becky of Peterman, Ala.; sisters, Lynn Higdon of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Tonjua Sherrer of Powhatan, Va.; . and one granddaughter.
Ramona was preceded in death by her father, Billy Jean Harrison.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.

Dorothy Adams, 98

Dorothy Elaine Lown Adams, age 98, was born April 8,1916, in Vermillion, SD, to Niver Guy Lown and Laura Bernice Spenseley Lown, and went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2014, in Dallas, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28,
2014, at White Rock Court, 9215 White Rock Trail, Dallas, Texas. Burial will be at 2 p .m. on Friday, May 23, 2014, in Bluffview Cemetery, Vermillion, SD.
She attended Rural School #1 for grades 1-8 and graduated from Vermillion High School. After graduation, she attended the University of South Dakota and also worked in the athletic office. Dorothy married Richard William Adams on Oct. 19,1936 in Vermillion and they drove to Augusta, Kan. that day to establish their home. They had two sons, Kent and Stan, and she was veiy involved in all aspects of their lives. Dorothy belonged to the Outlook Club and The Hypatia Club, where she served as president and held many other offices. Her church work at First United Methodist Church of Augusta included being chairman of circles and other positions. Mrs. Adams enjoyed playing bridge, loved Christmas and gift giving, was a devoted wife, was generous with her time and resources (especially with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren) and was considered a wonderful cook. For the past 10 years she has lived in Dallas, at White Rock Court and enjoyed being able to participate in family events and activities at White Rock Court.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Niver and Laura Lown; her husband of almost 65 years, Richard W. Adams; her two sisters, Mrs. Helen Bernice Lown Jordan and Margaret Lenore Lown Pierce and sister-cousin Helen Shirley Macy Berry.
She is survived by: two sons, Richard Kent Adams and wife Ruth Elaine Brandt Adams of Dallas, and Stanley Dean Adams and wife Linda Katherine Turner Adams of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren and spouses, Kari Elaine Adams Urban and Bryan James, Lance Kent Adams and Laura Michele Miller Adams of Dallas, Marc Wade Adams of Tucson, Ariz., Angela Dean Adams Bailey and Bryan Scott Bailey of Phoenix, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Brandt James Urban, Lauren Elaine Urban, Katelyn Anne Urban, Taylor Elizabeth Adams, Connor Lance Adams, all of Dallas, Grace Katherine Adams of Tucson, Millie Rose Bailey, Brett Scott Bailey, Katherine Dean Bailey of Phoenix; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
