AUGUSTA

Jan Montford, 70
Jan Montford, 70, of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, with friends and family by her side.
Friends may call call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary in
Hutchinson. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. wit Pastor Mark Penick presiding on Friday, Oct. 27,2014, also at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Jan was born on Nov. 7,1943. She married Bud Montford on Nov. 10,1961. She was a graduate of Hutchinson Community college and worked as a registered nurse for 20 years. Jan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, sharing photos and she was a big Royals baseball fan.
Jan was preceded in death by her father, James Goble Sr.
She is survived by: her mother, Helen Goble of Hutchinson; sister, Linda O’Neal, of Eudora, Kan., and Marsha Emig of Emporia; brother, James Goble, Jr. of Lawrence; her children, Monty Montford of Wichita, Terri Jacoby and Chris of Andover, and Derek Montford of McPherson; grandchildren, Ryan and Allison Montford of Wichita, Olivia, Jack and Grant Jacoby of Andover, and Jalynn Montford of McPherson; and one great-grandson, Xavier Chetwood of Wichita.
