Peter V. Brier, 57
Peter Vaughn Brier, 57, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Wesley Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4,
2015, at Summit Church. All are welcome to attend and j celebrate Peter's life.
Peter was born on Dec. 26, 1957 in Topeka to Dorothy Johnson and John Brier. He married Kimberly Ellis on Sept. 5, 1987. Their 30 year marriage was believed to only be read in fairy tales. He found the love of his life and cherished their love. He was more than a father to his children he was their best friend. He did not know a stranger and touched all that knew him. He had a voice that inspired millions. Peter was the owner of Jewelry Savers of Wichita and was a dedicated and talented jeweler. He loved to hunt and be outdoors. He was an active and dedicated member of Summit Church.
Peter is survived by: his wife Kimberly Brier; children, Shanda Ackermann, Michelle Fox, Paige Brier, and Monica Wolf; his sister, Jaime Brier; grandchildren, Ethan Fox, Trinity Fox and Zachary Wolf.
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 300 North Main, S-300, Wichita, KS, 67202, Hepatitis C Association, 1351 Cooper Rd, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076-2844; Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and Retirement, 1949 Dalton Rd, Sedan, KS 67361. Vernon Guy Wells, Sr., 93, of Augusta, passed in Wichita.
Viewing 10:30 to service time at 11 a.m.
Friday, March 6,
2015, at Central Baptist Church, Augusta.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery,
Augusta.
Vernon was born
in Byron, Okla. on Sept. 29, 1921 to the late Daisy Mae (Solf) and Guy Dee Wells. Vernon enlisted in the Army during WWII and was discharged as a 2nd Lt. Vernon worked at Derby Refinery as a Distill Unit Operator for 30 years. He was also a farmer. Vernon was a member of Central Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of N.R.A. On Feb. 20, 1943 he married Mary Lucille (Cooper) Wells in Little Rock, Ark., and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by: a son, Vernon G. Wells, Jr. of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Linda Cantu and husband Dennis of Augusta; grandchildren, Jason (Eronn), Jerod, and Joseph (Karen) Cantu and Nathan Wells; great-grandchildren, John Dexter Pearson, Nataleigh, Maxwell, Elayna, Carmen and Zoey Cantu; and his faithful dog and companion, Jackson.
Memorial donations to Central Baptist Church 7421 SW Church Road, Augusta, KS 67010.
