Pursselley Dies At AMCI
Friday, March 19, 1982
Howard R. Pursselley, 62, Douglass, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Douglass United Methodist Church. Rev. John Martin will officiate and burial will be at the Douglass Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the American Heart Fund and the American Diabetes Association.
He was born June 7, 1919 in Douglass to Casrell F. and Carrie Morgan Pursselley.
He was lifelong resident of Douglass. He was a retired Beach Aircraft Co., employee.
Survivors include three brothers, Sherman Pursselley of Douglass, W.W. “Woody” Pursselley of Wichita and Glenn Pursselley of Durham, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Clyde Schulte of Wichita.
Mother Dies
Elizabeth Reynolds, 74, Argonia, mother of Kathleen O’Neil of Douglass, died Tuesday at a Wellington hospital.
Her service was at 1 p.m. today at the Webb Mortuary in Clearwater. Rev. Fred Pinkerton officiated and burial was at the Mylan, Kan., cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
She was bom Jan. 14, 1908 in Norwich to James and Mary Ann Coffman Beal.
She married Olin D. Reynolds May 25, 1926 in Harper. He preceded her in death in 1973.
Other survivors include two sons, Richard Reynolds of Clearwater and Kenneth Reynolds of Argonia; two other daughters, Barbara Ginest of Clearwater and Molly Frazee of Wellington; a brother, Ted Beal of Green Brae, Calif.; two sisters, Letha Renzenberger of Garnett and Agnes Banta of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 16 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
Stepfather Dies In Wichita At 51
Delbert Frazier Jr., 51, Haysville, stepfather of Harvey Stiner of Douglass, died today at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Glenville Bible Baptist Church in Haysville. Burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
He was bom May 6, 1930 in Batesville, Ark., to Delbert and Bessie Keen Frazier Sr.
He married Pearl Stiner July 4, 1975 in Haysville. She survives.
He was employed at Boeing Aircraft Co., in Wichita. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Other survivors include two more stepsons, Lewis Stiner of Derby and Jim Stiner of Haysville; three stepdaughters, Narvella Pike and Jonnah Newell, both of Wichita and Linda Stiner of Haysville; a sister, Betty Price of Haysville, and six step-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.
