L.L. Banning dies at 77
Luther Lorenzo Banning, 77, Ferndale, Wash., formerly of Augusta , died Aug. 25 at a nursing home in Bellingham, Wash.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Loren Fawcett Funeral Home in Neodesha. Rev. Larry Mason will officate and burial will be in the Neodesha cemetery.
He was born June 5, 1908 in Wauneta to Delbert and Sarah Myers Banning.
He married Ada Morgan March 30, 1935 in Neodesha. She preceed him in death in 1963.
He married Majel Isabel Stone July 21, 1967 in Nowata, Okla. She preceded him in death in 1980.
He was a retired boiler house operator for American Oil Co. before his retirement in 1970.
He lived in Augusta before moving to Washington 10 months ago.
Survivors include daughters, Thelma Cabodie of Ferndale, Wash., Sylvia Parker of Warner Robins, Ga.; sisters, Goldie Crews of Wichita and Edith Reed of Peru; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Hubert Feemster dies at 83
Hubert Feemster, 83, 1143 Euclid, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate and burial will be in the Towanda cemetery.
He was born March 8, 1902 in Noble, Mo., to John and Lydia Piland Feemster.
He married Millie Ethel Daniel April 23, 1925 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a retired tool maker at Loadcraft Trailer Co. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the B.P.O.E. 1462.
Other survivors include a daughter, Venita Miller of Augusta; a brother, Everett of Burden; sisters, Mildred Mefford of Roach, Mo., Drucilla Sanders of Flint, Mich., Carmel Bryant of Fenton, Mich., Laura Jenkins of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral tomorrow for Jim Nutter
Jim Nutter, 73, 2220 Dearborn, died Monday at his home.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Jon Grissom of First Christian Church will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood
Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 26, 1911 in Buffalo, Okla., to Winfred S. and Mary Ellen Weir Nutter.
He married Belma L. Buckett Dec. 20, 1933 in Towanda. She survives.
He was a retired gas plant operator for Mobil Oil refinery. He was also a member of the First Christian Church, the Mystic Tie Lodge and the Wichita Consistory.
Other survivors include sons, Delbert F. of Concord, N.H. and Paul A. of Lake Elizabeth, Calif.; a daughter, Veldonna Rush of Augusta; a sister, Nellie Kiser of Augusta; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Brothers John, David, Earl, Merle and Harold, and a sister, Elizabeth Price, preceded him in death.

Graveside service for Ed Belisle
Graveside services for Ed Belisle will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Jack Tomman officiating.
Belisle, 83, Route 2, died Monday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 14, 1901 in Kansas.
He married Lillian Hedberg Dec. 18, 1924 in Wakeeney. She died in 1980. He married Gladys Pavey Dennett July 5, 1981 in Augusta. She preceded him in death in 1984.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Dale of Wichita; a daughter, Ruth Roush of Wichita; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Helen Scott dies in Wichita
Helen Dorothy Cornelison Scott, 74, Douglass, died yesterday at St. Frances Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
A private graveside service will be at the Douglass Cemetery tomorrow. Keith Shephard will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass Public Library.
She was born April 1, 1911 in Atlanta to George and Ninon Price Gibson.
She married William Scott. He survives.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Other survivors include a son, Larry Scott; daughters, Lila Guyot, Louise Vandergriff, Roma Peters, Judy Lawson, Vicki Snelling; brother, Allen Gibson, all of Douglass; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Former Augustan dies in Wyoming
A former Augusta resident, Paul O'Neill of Douglass, Wyo., died there Tuesday of a heart attack.
O'Neill was a graduate of El Dorado High School. Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Patton of Augusta, and their four children.

Ex-Augustan died at 68
Woody W. Fisher, Denver, Colo., formerly of Augusta, died at a hospital there Aug. 21.
There was a cremation.
He attended school in Augusta and Wichita.
He was the son the the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fisher, former owners of the Augusta Locker.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Peebler Fisher; a son, Robert D. Fisher of Denver, and two grandsons.
