Rites Saturday for E.W. Agard
Funeral services for Edward Wayne Agard, 72, Andover, were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the Andover Senior Citizens Building Fund.
He was born Aug. 12, 1913 in Piedmont to Edmund C. and Lula May Beaumont Agard.
He married Verna Marie Wade Nov. 16, 1932 in Eureka. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and an oilfield worker. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a son, David of Augusta; daughters, Loretha Powers of Augusta, Arlene Hull of Sedan and Nadine Hancock of Wichita; brother, Gerald of Corona, Calif.; sister, Vinita Hawthorne of Derby; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Myrtle Reed dies at 82
Myrtle Catherine Reed, 82, Wichita, mother of Donald Reed of Augusta and Charlene Brewer of Douglass, died Friday at the Woodlawn Nursing Home in Wichita.
Services were at 2 p.m. today at the Wichita Park Mausoleum. Burial was in the Wichita Park Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 8, 1903 in Wichita to Ayers Benjamin and May Lillian Duncan Seese.
She married William E. Reed Jan. 26, 1926 in Wichita. He survives.
Other survivors include a brother, Seese of May, Texas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Loren Burns dies at 72
Loren D. Burns, 72, Douglass, died yesterday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass. Rev. Jim Lorensen will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass Public Library.
He was born April 14, 1913 in Douglass to D.C. and Rose Pulver Burns.
He married Frances Pierson Oct. 19, 1933 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a retired owner of Burns TV Sales & Service and a retired Boeing Military Aircraft Co. employee. He was a member of the Douglass Chamber of Commerce and the Douglass Christian Church. He was a former Elks Club member.
Other survivors include daughters, Connie Jo Stoner of Wichita; brothers, Dean of Augusta, Earl of Douglass, and three grandchildren.

Theta Jean Wall, 59, Route 2, died today at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service is pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1926 in Augusta to Eugene M. and Icy P. Warner Ridge.
She was a graduate of Augusta High School. She bowled on a team at the Rose Bowl East for many years.
She was a employee at K-Mart in Wichita for 16 years.
She was also a member of the VFW, American Legion and Moose Lodges auxiliaries in El Dorado.
Survivors include son, Lonnie of Leon; a daughter, Kathy Caudillo of Kansas City, Mo.; mother, Icy Ridge of Augusta;
brothers, Donald Ridge of Augusta and Dr. Willard Ridge of Great Falls, Mont.; three grandchildren Steve and Marc Wall of
Augusta, Michael Wall of Leon, and step grandchildren, Steve and Jody Bartee of Leon and Herbert Baker, with whom she lived.

Clyde Schreiber, father of Larry Schreiber of Augusta, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Dunsford Funeral Home.
‘Winnie’ Johnson rites pending
Services are pending for Winfred “Winnie” Johnson, 1710 Dearborn.
He died yesterday at Hurst, Texas.
