Mary F. Noel funeral Friday
Mary Freida Noel, 65, Augusta, died yesterday at her home.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. John Grissom will officiate and burial will be in the Old Mission Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 7, 1920 in Emporia to Julius and Mary Brickley Fromm.
She married John Noel. He survives.
She was a former dietician at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Other survivors include sons, Jim of Derby and Jerry of Augusta; daughters, Kay Hoover of Miami, Okla., and Fran Noel Chase of Barboursville, W.Va.; brothers, Carl Fromm, Bill Fromm, both of Wichita; sisters, Norma Reibenspies and Marie Gourley, both of Wichita; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Edmund Agard dies in Wichita
Edmund Wayne Agard, 72, Andover, died today at the Wood-lawn Nursing Home in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Piedmont Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Andover Senior Citizens Building Fund.
He was born Aug. 12, 1913 in Piedmont to Edmund C. and Lula May Beaumont Agard.
He married Verna Marie Wede Nov. 16, 1931 in Eureka. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and oilfield worker. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Other survivors include a son, David of Augusta; daughters, Loretha Powers of Augusta, Arlene Hull of Sedan and Nadine Hancock of Wichita; brother, Gerald of Corona, Calif.; sister, Venita Hawthorne of Derby; 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Fred Carman died Monday
Fred Carman, 74, a long time Augusta resident, died Monday at his Albuquerque, N.M., home after an extended illness.
His funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. The Fitzgerald & Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Carman, who was preceded in death by his wife Jessie by 16 days, was born in Oregon and raised in Kentucky.
He was a retired Civil Service employee and a member of the Mystic Tie Lodge of Augusta.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky White and Beth Reeves, both of Albuquerque; two sisters, Bessie. Richards of Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Helen Wesley of Waynesburg, Ky.; a brother, Quincy Carman of Dexter, N.M., three grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Phil Nichols dies in Wichita
Phil Nichols, 69, Eureka, brother of Ruth Nichols Jackson and uncle Lynda Seward, both of Augusta, died Monday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Campbell Funeral Home in Eurkea. Rev. Greg Sorenson will officiate and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka.
A living memorial has been established in his name at Eureka High School.
He was born April 29, 1916 near Eureka to Ira and Lottie L. Lacy Nichols.
He married Wilma A. Butler April 2, 1936 in Emporia. She survives.
He was a retired Unified School District 389 employee in Eureka.
He was a lifetime resident of Eureka.
Other survivors include sons, Richard and Arnold, both of Eureka, Jerry of Ponca City, Okla.; a daughter, Vickie Shumate of Eureka; eight grand-children and two great-grandchildren and a foster son, Harold Grubb of Holly, Colo.

Maxine Zook dies at 63
Maxine Zook, 63, Tucson, Ariz., sister of Gene Maness of Augusta, died at a Tucson hospital Saturday.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Eastlawn Mortuary in Tucson.
She was born in Browntown to Doan and Neda Wilson Maness.
She attended Browntown schools and Augusta High School.
Other survivors include her husband, Clyde Zook; daughters, Vicki Howard and Suzanne Downey, both of Tucson; brothers, Ed Maness of Tonganoxie, Jewell of Shell Knob, Mo.; sisters, Beatrice Dawson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Velda Dawson of Oklahoma City, Donna Bell of Cincinnatti, Ohio, and three grandchildren.

Donald LeMay died today
Donald LeMay, 54, 612 Osage died this morning at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Priddy of Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
