Dr. Hull rites Monday
Dr. Amzy Hull, 80, 735 Stadium Drive, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Montezuma. Rev. John Saville will officiate and burial will be in the cemetery there.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
He was born Dec. 29, 1905 in Leon, Iowa, to James and Flora Alice Mintonye Hull.
Dr. Hull married Carol Nichols Sept. 20, 1933 in Belle Plaine, Iowa. She survives.
He was an osteopathic physician and surgeon. He practiced 37 years in Montezuma and Gray County area. In 1975, Dr. Hull
retired in Augusta. He was a Shriner.
Other survivors include a son, Amzy A. Jr. (Jim), of rural Augusta; a daughter, Salley Wiebe of Derby; a sister, Georgia of Derby and seven grandchildren.
The Swaim Mortuary in Dodge City is in charge of arrangements.
Tuesday, September 16, 1986 Warren W. Holtz rites tomorrow
Warren W. Holtz, 84, Neosho Falls, brother of Myrtle Roush of Augusta, died Sunday at the Golden Age Lodge at Burlington.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Waugh-Yokum Chapel in Iola. Rev. William Travis will officiate and burial will be in the Cedarvale Cemetery in Neosho Falls.
He was born May 29, 1902 in Neosho Falls to Lewis and Mary Dice Holtz.
Mr. Holtz was a retired farmer.
Another sister, Martha Jenkins of Kansas City, Mo., and three nephews also survive.

Lucille O. Young died on Tuesday
Lucille O. Young, 84, Lawrence, formerly of Douglass, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Valley View nursing home in Lawrence.
Her funeral service will be at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, Sept.
19, at the Douglass Church of Christ where she was a member.
Keith Shepherd will officiate and burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 30, 1902 to John and Ludella Guest in Rardin, Ill.
She and the late Harry G. Young were united in marriage during an Oct. 20, 1925 ceremony in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Mrs. Young leaves a son,
Harry K. Young of Douglass, and a daughter, Wanda Salmans of Oskaloosa, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Wade A. Carey died Tuesday
Wade Andrew Carey, two-day-old-son of James and Theresa Lynn Madison Carey, died Tuesday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Calvary Cemetery near Augusta. Father Thomas Stroot will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association for Childrens Heart Defects.
He was born Sept. 14, 1986 in Wichita.
Besides his parents, other survivors are his brothers, Luke and Seth, both of the home; grandparents, Wayne and Claudine Madison of Augusta and Harry and Betty Carey of Humbolt, and great-grandmothers, Gertrude Davis of Douglass and Lola May Pouncey of Augusta.

Hilda L. Snyder died Tuesday
Hilda L. Snyder, 87, Neodesha, sister of Harry Berg of Augusta, died Tuesday at a nursing home there.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the First Baptist Church in Neodesha. Rev. Larry Mason will officiate and burial will be in the Neodesha Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born July 13, 1899 in rural Thayer to Charles A. and Emma Z. Peterson Berg.
She married Richard Dillman on June 30, 1923 in Independence. He died in 1924. She married Charles E. Snyder Nov. 26, 1931 in rural Neodesha. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Other survivors include a son, Frank Dillman of Texas City, Texas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Billy B. Knowles died in Wichita
Billy Birch Knowles, 57, Wichita, son-in-law of Amelia McPherron Martin of Augusta, died yesterday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann and Rev. James Hatfield will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born June 21, 1929 in El Dorado to Ray and Emma Strong Knowles.
He married Lois McPherron Nov. 10, 1956 in Augusta. She preceded him in death in 1972.
He was a tool planner and coordinator at Quality Manufactures in Wichita. He served in the army during World War II.
Other survivors include sons, Grant and Gary, both of Wichita; daughter, Kelly Hallum of Wichita; half brother, James Hatfield of El Dorado, and nine grandchildren.
A son, Michael, also preceded him in death.
