Elsie V. MacKay died Friday
Elsie Valentine MacKay, 92, of Douglass, died Friday, July 24, at Medicalodge of Douglass.
Her funeral service was 1 p.m. today at the Church of Christ in Douglass. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery and Keith Shepherd officiated. Dunsford Funeral Home had the arrangements.
MacKay was born February 14, 1895 to Tilghman Chance and Sarah Wells Chance in Butler County.
On March 9, 1921, she and James Neil MacKay were married. He preceded her in death.
MacKay was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Her survivors include: son, James Marvin MacKay of Douglass; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Pete J. Polowich services tomorrow
Pete J. Polowich, 63, of Augusta, died Sunday, July 26.
A rosary will be 7:30 today at Naylor-Quinn Funeral Home in Pittsburg. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Burial will be in National Cemetery in Fort Scott and Father David O’Leary will officiate.
Polowich was born Oct. 3, 1923 to Andrew Polowich and Lillie Schemer Polowich in Chicopee, Kan.
On Mar. 31, 1951, he and Dorothy Niegsch were married in Chicopee.
Polowich was a retired maintenance department employee for Wichita State University and a former employee of Cudahy Packing Co. He was an army veteran of World War II.
His survivors include: wife, Dorothy; daughters, Janie Hill, Sandra Tobias, both of Wichita; brother, Andrew of Pittsburg; sisters, Margaret McCorkle, Ann Epple, both of Pittsburg, Julia Spriggs of Columbus; three grandchildren.

William P. Tucker funeral tomorrow
William P. Tucker, Jr., 78, of Eureka, retired tool dresser, father of Larry Tucker of Augusta, died Sunday, July 26.
His funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka and Rev. Gilbert Daniel will officiate.
Tucker was born March 15, 1909 to William P. Tucker, Sr. and Carrie Tingley Tucker in Oklahoma.
On Dec. 13, 1927, he and Bessie D. Bradford were married in Bristow, Okla. She preceded him in death June 11, 1976.
In addition to his son here, survivors include: sons, Carl, James, Jesse, Garry, all of Wichita, Thomas of St. Paul, Minn., Jerry of Camp Verde, Ariz., John of Rosehill; daughter, Billie Cloud of Wichita; brother, Clarence of New Jersey; sisters, Marie Doss, Juanita Ritter, both of Wichita, Leota Shelton of Tulsa; 41 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
John F. Langley died Sunday
John F. Langley, 64, of Douglass, Kansas General Wire & Supply Co., owner and operator, died Sunday, July 26.
His funeral service is private. Broadway Mortuary in Wichita has the arrangements.
Langley was born April 21, 1923 to Gertrude Mansfield Langley and Maurice Langley in Baring, Mo.
His survivors include: stepson, Mark Taylor of Douglass; sisters, Carol Asmann, Rae Spicher, both of Wichita, Donna Brock of Houston; two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
Helen L. Timmons service today
Helen Louise (Spring) Timmons, of Dodge City, former Wichitan, mother of LaDona McNutt of Augusta, died Sunday, July 26.
Her funeral service was 2 p.m. today at Burkhart Fuenral Chapel in Dodge City. Rev. Rick Plumlee officiated. Burial will be 11 a.m. tomorrow in Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita.
On Nov. 10, 1979, she married Gordon W. Timmons in Wichita.
In addition to her daughter here, survivors include: husband, Gordon W.; son, Gordon W. Jr., at home; daughters, Debbra Capps of Wichita, Tammy Goolsby of Dodge City; mother, Beatrice Spring; sister, Phyllis Ahlgrim, both of Ellinwood; eight grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
Harold Wilson funeral tomorrow
Harold Wilson, 76, brother of James Wilson of Augusta died in Oxford.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Methodist Church in Winfield. Burial will also be in Winfield.
Wilson was a retired farmer and employee of Boeing Military Airplane Company.
In addition to his brother here, his survivors include: wife, Helen; one son; two daughters; three brothers; one sister; five grandchildren.
