Father Dies In Wichita
Charles W. Roberts, 76, Wichita, father of Curtis Roberts of Augusta, died Monday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Downing and Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Karl Magnusson will officiate and burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established with the Catholic Center for the Aging in Wichita.
He was born May 14, 1906 in Mount Hope to Dallas and Martha Williams Roberts.
He married Ruth Bryngelson. She survives.
He was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors also include three other sons, Charles Roberts Jr., and Dallas Roberts, both of Wichita, and Donald Roberts of Winfield; four daughters, Carol Polan, Patricia Roberts, Virginia Griffith, all of Wichita, and Billie Gooch of Garden Plain; a sister, Mildred Collins of Burrton, and 12 grandchildren.
Ex-Augustan Dies At 83
Marie Moore, 83, DeSmet, S.D., former Augusta resident, died June 3 in DeSmet, S.D.
Her service was June 5 in DeSmet.
Her husband, Frank Moore, survives. He is a resident of the Good Samaritan Home in DeSmet.
The Moores ran an upholstry shop here.
A niece, Betty Lou Moore Anderson of Glenwood, Minn., also survives.

Thompson Dies At 93
Archie Orville Thompson, 93, Eureka, died Monday at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
His service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka.
He was bom Sept. 10, 1888 in Coyville to William O. and Helen Jane Bailey Thompson.
He married Edith Josephine Finegan March 13, 1916 in Eureka. She died April 10, 1974.

Sister Dies In El Dorado
Gladys M. King, 83, El Dorado, sister of Corwin Leedom of Augusta, died Monday at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Towanda United Methodist Church. Rev. Duane Harms and Rev. Wayne Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in the Towanda Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Heart Fund.
She was bom Feb. 24, 1899 in Haverhill to George and Belle Kennedy Leedom.
She married Fred Lambing in 1920. He died in 1942. She married Lawrence King in 1949. He survives.
She lived in Butler County all of her life. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include two sons, James Lambing of Douglass and Larry Lambing of St. Joseph, Mo.; a daughter, Maxine Hinnen of Towanda; a sister, Faye Levering of Douglass; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Juanita Dilley Rites Thursday
Juanita M. Dilley, 75, Wichita, a former resident here and mother of Charlotte Klein of Augusta, died Monday, June 14, at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral service will be at 10 o’clock Thursday morning at the Culbertson Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Don Schroeder, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Wichita, will officiate and burial will be in the Elbing Cemetery.
She was bom Oct. 30, 1906 in Augusta as a daughter of Raymond and Gertrude Coday.
In addition to the daughter, survivors include her husband, Stanley, of the home; a stepson, Stanley of Bethesda, Md.; a stepdaughter, Helen Greiving of Wichita, and a brother, Roy Coday of Augusta.
