Howard Wilson died Friday
Howard L. Wilson, 70, of Wichita, retired machine tool salesman, father of Dick Wilson of Leon, died Friday, Oct. 9.
Rosary was yesterday and the funeral service was 11 a.m. this morning at Church of the Magdalen. Downing & Lahey Mortuary had the arrangements.
Wilson was born March 7, 1917 to Edward and Myrtle Brazier Wilson in Wichita.
In addition to his son in Leon, survivors include: wife, Jean; sons, Tom of Denver; four grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Church of the Magdalen.

Henrietta Kilpatrick funeral today
Henrietta M. Kilpatrick, 80, of Augusta, died Friday, Oct. 9 at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Her funeral service was 1:30 p.m. today at Dunsford Chapel. Rev. James Underwood officiated and burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
Kilpatarick was born Jan. 17, 1907 to Henry and Ada Good Mark in Westmoreland, Kan.
On April 18, 1925, she and Vernon C. Kilpatrick were married in Kingman.
Kilpatrick was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Church.
Her survivors include: husband, Vernon; son, Donald of Walnut Creek, Calif.; daughters, Virginia Starkey of Enid, Okla., Patricia Rasmussen of Lincoln, Kan.; brother, Verlin Mark of Augusta; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
A sister, Leona Martin, preceded her in death.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.

Mildred Fadley funeral tomorrow
Mildred M. Fadley, 79, of Wichita, homemaker, sister of Muriel Gilmer and Iris Ahlerich, both of Douglass, and Catherine Jensen of Augusta, died Sunday, Oct. 11.
Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church in Wichita. Burial will be in Old Mission Cemetery and the Rev. Robert Featherstone and the Rev. San Jittawait will officiate. Quiring-Old Mission Mortuary has the arrangements.
Fadley was born Nov. 25, 1907 to Charles William Dailey and Stella Cochran Houser in Cowley County.
In addition to her sisters in Douglass and Augusta, survivors include: brother, Charles William Houser Jr. of Kansas City, Kan.; sisters, Helen Morton, Lucille Coleman, both of Wichita.
She is preceded in death by her husband Chester Arthur Fadley.
A memorial has been established with First Baptist Church.

John D. Pickett dies in California
John Duane Pickett, 39, son of Mrs. Mildred Pickett of Augusta, died Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco, Calif.
The funeral was held in San Francisco.
In addition to his mother, Pickett leaves a brother Marty, a nephew Scott and a niece Stephanie, all of Dodge City; two aunts, Ruby Powell and Beverly Williams, both of Augusta, and other relatives.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta First Christian Church.

Grandmother died Sunday in Tulsa
Mrs. Ruth Campbell, grandmother of Calvin Applegate Jr. of Augusta, died Sunday in Tulsa, Okla.
A graveside service is planned for 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Gage Park Cemetery in Topeka.
In addition to the grandson here, she leaves a daughter living in Missouri, a daughter living in Tulsa, and a son living in Alabama and a grand daughter residing in Texas.

Barbara Gaston died Sunday
Barbara Gaston, 45, of Maysville, Mo., sister of Don Mead of Leon, died Sunday, Oct. 11.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. tomorrow at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns and Rev. Jim Hatfield will officiate.
Gaston was born May 30, 1942 to Orville and Willie Juanita Davis Mead in El Dorado.
In addition to her brother in Leon, survivors include: husband, Kenneth; son, Michael Booth of El Dorado; daughters, Frankie Smith, Wendy Huffman, Crystal Standfield, all of El Dorado, Leslye Lazzers of Maysville; stepmother, Ethel Mead of El Dorado; brother, James Mead of Prossner, Wash.; sisters, Juaneta Harms, Verna Offen, both of El Dorado; stepbrother, Jack Gariffith of Burns; stepsisters, Juanita Williams of Andover, Janet Larson of Pittsburg, Susie Eaton of El Dorado; six grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Scleroderma Foundation.
