Bratton’s uncle died at Wesley
Loren Bratton, 75, of Emporia and uncle of Robert Bratton of Augusta, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Roberts-Blue and Barnett in Emporia. Graveside services will in Eureka at 2:30 p.m.
Other survivors, besides his nephew from here, include his wife, Marie; sisters, Evelyn Province of Eureka, Hazel Mansfield of Manhattan, and Opal McClintock of Wichita.
Roberts-Blue and Barnett in Emporia has the arrangements.

Former Augustan’s burial at Elmwood
Elma Caroline Wallace, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 13.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1891 in Henrietta, Texas. She moved with her family to Orange, Calif. and later to Augusta.
Wife of the late Elmer E. Wallace of the Pioneer Wallace family. He preceded her in death March 9, 1959.
She was a member of the Cumberland Church and the Ladies Aid Society of Augusta.
Mrs. Wallace moved to Ellensburg, Wash, in 1978 and lived at Trinal Manor until 1984 when she entered Gold Leaf Convalescent Home.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wilfred N. and Peggy Wallace of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy L. and Neil Powell of Ellensburg; four grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-gandsons.
There will be private interment in the Elmwood Mausoleum.

John Huston died Thursday at AMCI
John Marshall Huston, 84, of Augusta deid Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His services were today at 9 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Burl Allison, Jr. officiated.
John was born on Aug. 26, 1904 to John and Roxie R. (Starkey) Huston in Augusta.
Survivors include sons, John Edward of Rose Hill; daughters, Mona Lee Ingold of Augusta, Jo Ann Welch of Wichita; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Andover man’s son died Wednesday
Robert L. “Rap” McCracken, 56, of Wichita and son of the Rev. John Duncan of Andover, died Wednesday, Nov. 16.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Funeral Home.
Other survivors include his wife, Betty; daughters, Robin Snyder, Stephanie McKinney, Sherry all of Wichita, Pamela Creel of Colorado Springs; sister, Anna Belle Minter of Riverside, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials have been suggested to the Hospice of Wichita.

Ireland of Leon passed away Sunday
John M. Ireland, 81, of Leon died Sunday.
His services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Leon Baptist Church with burial following at the Leon Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 26, 1907 in Calhoun County, Ill. to James and Anna Ireland.
On that same day in 1938 he married Rosa Hult in El Dorado.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa; daughters, Rosa Sareachek, Mary Ann Ireland, both of Wichita; brother, Carl of Sebastin, Fla.; and sister, Hazel E. Hult of Leon.
A memorial has been established with the Diabetes Foundation.

Burial Wednesday for Norman Wise
Norman Forrest Wise, 68, of Augusta and caretaker at Santa Fe Lake, died Sunday, Nov. 20.
His services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dunsford Chapel. The burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
On Dec. 1, 1919 he was born to Robert and Marie (Knox) Wise in Phillips County.
He married Ruth Elizabeth Martin on Oct. 7, 1948 in Dighton.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; son, Gary Wise of Oregon; daughters, Debbie Perry of Atlanta, Nancy McCandlis of Wichita; brothers and sister-in-laws, Orville and Mabel Wise of Crete, Neb., Bobby and Glenna Wise of Towanda; sisters and brother-in-laws, Linda and Tom Nuttycomb of Logan, Wanda and Johnny Smith of Phillipsburg; two grandchildren; and nephew and neice, Dean and Cindy Williams of Augusta.
Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Son and brother of Douglass residents died Thursday
Delbert E. Daivs, 43, of Winfield and oil field worker and Kansas Department of Transportation employee, died Thursday, Nov. 17.
His servies were today at Miles Memorial Chapel.
Survivors include sons, Raymond Eugene,. Joshua Mac, both of fairland, Okla.; daughters, Tonya Ann Spencer of Manhattan, Bonnie Jo of Winfield; mother, Buelah of Douglass; brother, Melvin of Bentley; sisters, Mary Braungardt, Doris Brown, both of Douglass, Margaret Williard of Atlanta, Ruth Dennett of Oxford; and one grandchild.
Memorials have been suggested to the Leukemia Society of America.
