Aline Bisagno died today
Longtime Augusta businesswoman and community resident Aline K. Bisagno, 89, died today at her home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Walter F. Stanley services held today
Walter F. Stanley, 81, of Douglass and retired farmer and Boeing employee, died Monday.
His services were today at the Douglass United Methodist Church.
He was born to Ira and Della (Wakefield) Stanley on July 2, 1907 in Douglass.
On Jan. 1, 1937 he was married to Phyllis Shockey in Douglass.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; son, Wayne of Wichita; daughter, Sharon Williams of Independence, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home has the arrangements.
Robert B. Dowell burial at Elmwood
Robert Barry Dowell, 78, of Augusta and retired carpenter, died at the Augusta Medical Complex Tuesday morning.
His services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Dunsford chapel with Rev. Clyde Stockton officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born to George M. and Merle Ione (McCart) Dowell on Jan. 14, 1911 in Nash, Okla.
On Sept. 2, 1939 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Margaret Tabor in El Dorado.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; sons, Floyd, Lloyd, both of Augusta, Don, Ron, both of Leon; daughters, Judy Burling of Wichita, Kathy Latimer of Augusta; sister, Babe Schuerman of Woodstock, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. /
Dowell was a member of the Webster Church and the carpenters union of Wichita.

Bisagno funeral will be tomorrow
Aline (Karnes) Bisagno, 89, of Augusta, died Wednesday at her home, 342 High.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Harold Kieler and Rev. Burl Allison officiating.
She was born to Robert E. and Edna G. (Upchurch) Karnes on Nov. 16, 1899 in Galatia, Ill.
On April 10, 1923 Aline Karnes was united in marriage to David A. Bisagno in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1965.
Survivors include her son, Bob of Augusta; daughter, June Parry of Oklahoma City; sister, Jean Kongs of Seneca; step-daughter-in-law, Clarice Bisagno of Perry, Okla.; three grandchildren, Susan Jacques of Garden City. Kay Bleakley of Overland Park, Dave Bisagno of Augusta; and four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jenifer Jacques of Garden City, Mathew and Erin Bleakley of Overland Park.
Aline Bisagno, along with her husband, was the former owner of the Augusta Theatre and Drive Inn, Isis Theatre and other theatres in Kansas for 58 years.
A member of the First United Methodist Church, she was a
charter member of the Augusta Soroptimist Club and a member of the Kansas City Women of the Motion Picture Industry.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church building fund.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.
Augustan’s father died Wednesday
Dean Brill, 56, of Winfield and father of Cheryl Spires of Augusta, died Wednesday.
His services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home.
Brill, a Boeing Military Airplanes employee, is survived by his son, Richard of Mulvane; daughters, Lynda McDade of Winfield, Cheryl Spires of Augusta; mother, Stella of Udall; brothers, Robert of Andover, Ray of Wellington; sisters, Margaret Rush of Bates, Ark., Ruth Bailey of Wellington, Donna Daniels of Udall; and four grandchildren.

Former Augustan to be buried in Missouri Tuesday
Mildred (Matlock) Thorp, 58, of Ft. Scott and formerly of Augusta, died Friday at Mercy Hospital in Ft. Scott.
Services for Thorp will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Nevada, Mo. Burial will also be in Nevada.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne of Ft. Scott; daughters, Beverly Swisher of Nevada, Pamela Celli of Dallas, Texas; three step-children; and eight grandchildren.
