Clara A. Criser burial in Andover
Clara A. Criser, 98, died Wednesday, July 26, at the Walnut Valley Manor nursing home here.
Her funeral service will be 10 o’clock Saturday morning, July 29, at the Downing-Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. John Bliss of the Grant Avenue Baptist Church in Chanute will officiate and burial will follow in the Andover Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 20, 1890 in Hamilton, Ill., as a daughter of John and Anna Mulch.
Her husband Jesse preceded her in death in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Warner of Viola; a brother, Albert Mulch of Wichita, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
Memorials to the Baptist Church in Viola have been suggested.
Augustans’ brother died on Wednesday
Brother of Augustans Terry D. Smith and Virginia Kimball, Bobby A. Smith, 46, of El Dorado, died Wednesday.
Services for the retired El Dorado firefighter will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
Other survivors include his wife, Diane; son, Tim W. of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Kim A. Lara, mother, Margie, both of Wichita; brothers, Edwin D. of Kopperl, Texas, Gene of Newton; sisters, Betty Byfield of Wichita, Dorothy Spoon of Lyons; and three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Arthritis Foundation.

A memorial fund for the Delbert Cain family has been established in memory of Marilyn Cain of rural Leon at the Prairie State Bank.

Reynolds’ father died on Friday
Father of Augustan June Reynolds, Arthur Dean Haugh, 78, of Wichita, died Friday, July 28.
Services for the retired mechanic were held today at Lakeview Funeral Home.
Other survivors, besides his daughter from here, include his wife, Ruth; sons, Ivan, Brian, both of Topeka; daughters, Darlene Franz of Wichita, Christine Olsen of Woodinville, Wash.; brother, Edward of Abilene, James of Topeka; sisters, Verna Ming of Abilene, Doris Davis, Irene Wright, both of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Countryside Christian Church.
Former Douglass man died July 6
Joseph E. Kiser, formerly of Douglass, died in California on his 69th birthday, July 6.
Survivors include his wife, Nell (14325 McNab Avenue, Sp. 65, Bellflower, Calif. 90706); son, Kevin of Los Angeles; and sister, Ruth Gulick of Titusville, Fla.
Kiser had multiple sclerosis and had been confined to a nursing home for more than three years.
He was born in Novinger, Mo. and grew up in Douglass. He graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, served in the Army Air Corps during WW II, and taught science in the Douglass and Wichita public schools thereafter.
He was the son of the late Glen E. Kiser, former editor of the Douglass Tribune and Augusta Gazette. For a time Joe served as acting editor of the Tribune, which had been founded by his grandfather J.M. Satterthwaite in 1884.

Schreiber burial to be at Elmwood
Wanda Lea Schreiber, 62, of Wichita, died Saturday, July 29, at the Andover Health Center.
She was born to Dan and Hazel Becker on July 27, 1927 in Mat-field Green.
Graveside services for the retired Boeing records clerk will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her brother, Russel Becker of Rose Hill; and sister, Cyvylla Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl.
Memorials are to cancer research, Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kan. 66506.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Moon’s grandson killed in accident
Augustan Shirley Moon’s grandson, Christopher Moon, 16, of Houston, Texas, died in an accident Friday, July 28.
He was born to Jesse and Mary Moon on June 8, 1973 in Hawaii.
Survivors include his parents, Jesse and Mary of Houston; brother, Andrew; and grandparents, Shirley Moon of Augusta, Mel and Florence Baumgartner of Aurora, Colo.
His services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Webster Presbyterian Church in Webster, Texas.
Memorials are to the Clearlake Presbyterian Church, 1511 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, Texas 77059.
