Kenneth H. Plummer funeral tomorrow
Kenneth Hugh Plummer, 58, Augusta, died Monday, July 30, at the HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Frank Miller of the First Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Plummer was born April 6, 1932 in Douglass as a son of Hugh Plummer and Grace Parker Plummer.
On May 2, 1951, he and Doris M. Payton were united in marriage during a ceremony here. She survives.
This hay contractor also leaves a son, Kenneth Lee Plummer of Augusta; two daughters, Teresa Lynn Overton and Linda Moore, both of Wichita; two brothers, John of Branson, Mo., and Charles of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia Richey of Augusta, and Dr. Marilou Morris of Jupiter, Fla., and five grandchildren.
Thursday, August 2, 1990 Anna Belle Bell dies Wednesday
Anna Belle Bell, 94, Augusta, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Walnut Valley Nursing Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Central Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert Hanthom officiating.
Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery.
She was bom Oct 31, 1896 in Coyville to Nora Frost and George Scott.
On her birthday in 1918, she married George E. Bell in Douglass. He preceded her in death in 1961.
Survivors include son Walter of Wichita; brother Hoyt Scott of Winfield; sister, Bessie Ferguson; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was a son, Francis Harold.
A memorial has been established with the church.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Augustan’s sister dies in Wyoming
Marla Vierling, 77, Powell, Wyo., sister of Augusta resident Julia Fowler, died July 27 at the Powell Nursing Home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kathy LaFollette, Billings, Mont.; sister, Flora Farris of Iola; three brothers, Randall Fowler of Aztec, N.M., Wallace Fowler of Tucson, Ariz., Shelby Fowler of Jamestown, Mo.; niece, Kris Bell of Augusta and nephew, Joe Fowler of Augusta.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Memorials are suggested with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
