Delphia Evans dies at home in Augusta
Homemaker Delphia Evans, 83, Augusta, died Wednesday, March 7, at home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dunsford Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Michael Omundson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born April 27, 1907 in Coldwater to Blanch I. Lawson and Frank Bailey.
On July 29, 1925, she married Frank Arthur Evans who preceded her in death in 1971.
Survivors include a son Ronald A. Evans, Hawaii; brothers, Ivan Bailey of Bushton, Claude Bailey of St. Petersburg, Fla., Frank Bailey Jr. of Lewis; sisters, Margaret Spence and Kathryn Evans, both of Lewis, and Mickey Newman of Garden City; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband, were two sons, Don and Charles, and a daughter.
She belonged to the Christian Church.
Evelyn Minerd to be buried in Andover
Private services will be held for homemaker Ina Evelyn (Turley) Minerd, 86, Wichita.
She died Tuesday, March 6. Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter Laura Wilscam of Wichita; son Gerald of Derby; brother Lester
W. Turley of Wichita; sisters Irene Carey of Tampa, Fla., May Straw of Wichita, Margaret Lord of Elk Falls; two grandchildren, Neil Wilscam of Augusta and Sammy Minerd, address not given; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Steven Wilscam of Augusta.
Downing-Lahey Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
Gary Hutton services to be at Elmwood
Chief investigator for county attorney of Los Angeles County Gary Hutton, 43, Los Angeles, died March 6 in Los Angeles.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery.
Hutton was a member of the United Methodist Church and has been a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Reserve Army.
Virginia Bond services to be Tuesday
Virginia Alice Bond, 71, Augusta, died Wednesday, March 7.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita.
She was a retired PBX operator.
Bond was born June 8, 1918 to Grace Mae (Clap) and Roscoe Newton in Hutchinson.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki L. Davis of Spokane, Wash. and a grandchild.
A memorial has been established with Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church, Augusta.
