Meta Jane Lenz services Thursday
Meta Jane Lenz, 87, Augusta, lied Monday, Aug. 20, at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Harold Kieler officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Lenz was bom Sept. 8, 1902, in Atlanta to Maude (Bridges) John Defore.
On June 14,1923, she married Irving L. Lenz in the Bloomington community. He preceded her in death n 1975.
Survivors include two daughters, Treva Graham of Beatrice, Neb., and Dorothy Graham of Augusta; brother, J.W. Defore, Midland, Texas; five grandchil-dren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She belonged to the First United Methodist Church.
A memorial has been established with the church’s choir robe fund.
Marjorie Foltz dies in Oklahoma
Marjorie Foltz, 93, Edmond, Okla., died July 29.
She moved with her family to Augusta around the turn of the century. The family lived in a home at the top of State Street, across the street from a school.
Graveside services were at the Rosehill Cemetery, Oklahoma City. Memorial services at the Guardian Midtown Chapel, Edmond.
Foltz was a musician and retired from the Oklahoma public schools after treaching for 27 years. She received a master of arts degree from Oklahoma City University.
Her father, Nicholas Taylor, was a farmer, and her mother, Sue Taylor, was active in the Christian Church and civic organizations.
Surivors include a daughter, Patsy Oldham of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a son, Nick Foltz, Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther O. Foltz.

Homemaker Ollie Maple Pressnell, 84, Augusta, died Monday, Aug. 20, at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Dunsford Funeral Home. Bur-ial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was bom Nov. 12, 1905, in Hardy, Ark., to Bertie (Crisco) and Jacob Monroe Schales.
On April 4,1925, she married Frank Henry Pressnell who preceded her in death in 1971.
Survivors include son Vernon of Augusta; daughter Mildred Eileen Beye of Augusta; brother
Owen Schales of Armona, Calif.; sisters Thelma Murphy, Vivian Ring, both of Hardy, Ark., Willie Cunningham of Trenton, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death were an infant daughter, brothers Elbert, Fred, J.M. Schales; two sisters, Hattie Horton and Laura Hall; and a grandson, Calvin Beye.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
