Lillie Ellen Marshall dies Saturday
Lillie Ellen Marshall, 82, Augusta, died Saturday, Sept. 1, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
Services were today at Dunsford Funeral Home, the Rev. Frank Miller officiating.
Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
Marshall was bom June 3, 1908, in Akins, Okla., to Mary Martha (Hill) and Simon J. Sutton.
On Nov. 16,1924, she married Robert E. Marshall. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Survivors include sons, Lawrence “Pete” of Virginia Beach, Va., Vernie of Augusta, Edward “Joe” of Modesto, Calif.;
daughters, Lucille A. Hand of Grove, Okla., Marcille J. Tuttle of Augusta;
brothers, Clayton Sutton of Prineville, Ore. S.J. Sutton of Florissant, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
Marshall was also preceded in death by two daughters.
She belonged to the Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials have been established with the American Heart Association and the Church of the Nazarene of Augusta.

Florence I. Harness dies Tuesday at home
Florence Irene Harness, 81, Wichita, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, at home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Dunsford Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Harness was bom Dec. 22, 1908, in Alluwe, Okla., to Anna Elizabeth (Dyer) and Louis Millison.
On Oct. 14,1938, she married Paul Granville Harness in Augusta. He preceded her in death in 1968.
Survivors include a son, James Kent Harness of Boulder, Colo.; a daughter, Carol Ann Miller of Viola; three brothers, Ross, Clark and Don Millison, all of California; two sisters, Mary Kay Rains and Louise Cline, both of Wichita; three grandchildren, Paul, Blair and Grant of Boulder.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Marion Millison, and two sisters, Edith Tarman and Mildred Saunders.
She belonged to the First Christian Church and was an Eastern Star past worthy matron — beaucents.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Christian Church.

Billy Wayne Collins dies Saturday
Services for construction worker Billy Wayne Coffins Jr.,
36, Augusta, were Saturday,
Sept. 1, at Elmwood Cemetery, the Rev. Edsel Lovette officiating.
Coffins died Aug. 30 at Route 2, Augusta.
He was bom Jan. 17, 1954, in El Dorado to Donna Sue (Weeks) and Billy Wayne Collins Sr.
They survive.
Other survivors include brothers James Anthony Coffins of Wichita, John Edward Coffins of Norman, Okla., Robert Andrew Coffins of Augusta; sister, Terri Sue Coffins of Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Harry D. Yates services Thursday
Retired Beech Aircraft crew chief Harry D. Yates, 74, Wichita, died Monday, Sept. 3.
Yates is a former Augusta resident.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife,
Betty, of the home; sons, Roger D. of Gladstone, Mo., Dennis D. of Derby; daughter, Nancy Jo Nelson of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Waneta Knuckey of Winfield, Opal Cochran of Lexington, Okla., Vivian Erwin of Healdton, Okla., Betty Darlene Williams of Oklahoma City,
Okla., Melva June Gilliam of Moore, Okla.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Cochran Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established with the Shrine Crippled Children’s Hospitals c/o Midian Shrine Temple, 120 N. Topeka,
Wichita, Kan. 67202.
