Harry Uhrig to have graveside services
Graveside services for Harry W.Uhrig,81, Augusta, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Elmwood Cemetery.
Uhrig died Monday, Sept. 24, at home.
He was born Nov. 30,1908, to Christina (Riffel) and Conrad C. Uhrig in Buffalo, Okla.
On Feb. 14, 1950, he married Rose Jester in Enid, Okla. She preceded him in death by three days.
Survivors include sons, Robert of Dixie, La., John of Redding, Calif.;
sisters, Frances Gaede of Lodi, Calif., Selma Griffith of Lodi; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Uhrig was a retired mechanic and farmer and was a Seventh Day Adventist.
Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
Rose Uhrig services Friday afternoon
Graveside services for Rose Uhrig, 88, Augusta, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Elmwood Cemetery.
She died Friday, Sept. 21, at the Augusta Medical Complex, Inc.
She was born Sept. 10, 1902, to Kate and Lorenzo Jester.
On Feb. 14,1950, she married Harry W. Uhrig in Enid, Okla.
Survivors include sons, Robert of Dixie, La., John of Redding, Calif.;
brothers, Joe Jester of Fort Sumner, N.M., Martin of Madera, Calif., Barney of Northride, Calif.,
Emil of Pixley, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Uhrig was a Seventh Day Adventist and a homemaker.
Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary E. Buck dies today
Mary E. (Bostwick) Buck, 84, died today in Colorado Springs, Colo.
She is the sister of Edgar Bostwick of Augusta.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Sabet-ha, place of internment.
She was born in Hoyt and received her education at Emporia State Teachers College.
She was a retired school teacher.
She and Virgil Buck married in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1976. They lived in Augusta for a short time.
Other survivors include a son, a sister and three brothers. Preceding her in death were a sister and three brothers.

Mother of Douglass resident dies Tuesday
Jo M. Mercer, 79, Wichita, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Meditation Chapel Mission Chapel Mausoleum, Wichita.
She is the mother of June Kittle of Douglass.
Intombment will be in Mission Chapel Mausoleum.
Mercer was born March 12, 1911 in Vinita, Okla., to Jessie Lela (Frazier) and George Merton Reins.
Other survivors include sons, Roy D., George R. of Wichita;
brother, William B. Raines of Vinita; two sisters, Lorene Sparks of Vinita, Lela Miller of Memphis, Term.
Memorials have been established with the Douglass United Methodist Church and Hospice, Inc., Wichita.
Quiring-Old Mission Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.
