Elbert ‘Red’ Davis dies Saturday
Davis Liquor store owner Elbert “Red” W. Davis, Augusta, died Saturday, Oct. 20.Funeral services will be
private.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy J.; sons, John of Las Vegas, Nev., Brad of Augusta, Scott of Upland, Calif.
David Steinley of Wichita, Keith of New York, Fred of Fort Lauder dale, Fla., Jason D. at home,
daughters, Debbie Scott of California, Ruth Reynolds of Torrington, Conn.,
Dorothy Mae Larensen of Winsted, Conn., Jessica L. Davis of Augusta, 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild
A memorial has been established with the Sedgwick County Humane Society.
Lakeview Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Blanche Alice Alley services Monday
Blanche Alice Alley, 91, Douglass, died Friday, Oct. 26, at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
Funeral services were Monday at Dunsford Funeral Home, Lewis Tandy officiating. Burial was in Douglass Cemetery.
Alley was bom July 10,1899, in Butler County to Molinda and George Dennett.
On Sept. 24, 1918, she married John F. Alley in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1983.
She belonged to the Church of Christ and was a lifetime resident of Butler County.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence of Douglass; a daughter, Lola Mae Pierson of Douglass;
five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Maude Carpenter Childrens Home, 1501 N. Meridian, Wichita, Kan. 67203.

Ruby Lee Foley services Saturday
Ruby Lee Foley, 93, Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 23. Foley is a former Douglass resident.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Douglass Cemetery.
She is a former Harris & Gore secretary.
Survivors include a daughter, Rogene Morgan of Corpus Christi, Texas; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Audrey Janee Canfield dies Tuesday, Oct. 23
Audrey Janee Canfield, daughter of Michael J. Canfield and Michelle R. Cheney, Wichita, was stillborn Tuesday, Oct. 23.
There will be private services.
Other survivors include grandparents, Dwight and Donna Hanson of Augusta, Cynthia Moody of Wichita,
Jimmy and Shirley Canfield of Oswego; great-grandparents, Aileen Lauterbach of Clearwater,
Joyce and Anne Minson, Dorothy Cheney, all of Wichita, Leah Canfield of Oswego;
great-great-grandmother, Mae Sanders of Labette.
Webb Mortuary, Clearwater, is in charge of arrangements.

Sister of Augustan dies Wednesday
Martha E. Hall, 89, Wichita, died Wednesday, ()ct. 24. She is the sister of Augusta resident Henry L. Hill.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Evans Funeral Home in Houston, Mo.
Other survivors include a son, Frank J. of Wichita; a daughter, Nellie B. Dickson of El Dorado; sisters,
Hazel Smithson of Dewey, Okla., Mae Burris of Cortez, Colo.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
three great-great-grandchildren.

Naomi E. Clifford services Monday
Naomi E. (Tannahill) Clifford, 66, Arkansas City, died Thursday, Oct. 25.
She is the stepmother of Robert Ray Clifford of Augusta.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Arkansas City.
Other survivors include her husband, Arthur J.; a son, Larry C. Dunn of Wellington; daughters,
Sharon Kay Coggins of Arkansas City, Nancy Ann Kuchar of South Haven;
stepson, Allen Jay Clifford of Granbury, Texas; stepdaughter, Sandra Kay Shivel of Granbury;
sisters, Violet Carlson of Bremerton, Wash., Joan Snyder of Pawnee City, Neb.;
six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the First United Methodist Church and the American Cancer Society.
Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City, is in charge of arrangements.
