Scott Allen Turner
Scott Allen Turner, 27, of Douglass, died Sunday, Nov. 25, at the HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 28, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel
with burial in Elm-wood Cemetery.
He was born May 4, 1963 in Wichita as a son of Norman Turner and Ruth Ruggles Turner.
On June 10, 1988, he and the former Leisa Kay Shain were married in a ceremony at Arkansas City.
He leaves his parents, Norman and Wanda Turner of Douglass and David and Ruth Pirtle of Augusta;
grandparents, Roberta Ruggles, Ruby Tarrant, Vernie Himer, all of Augusta,
Virginia Turner of Ponca City, Okla., and Leon Tarrant of Arkansas City; brothers, John Goines, Danny Goines,
Jarod Pirtle, and Jason Pirtle, all of Augusta, and a sister, Rhonda Morrison of Augusta.
Turner was employed as a radiator repairman at the time of his death.
Ora W. Elder
Ora Wesley Elder, 85, Tonkawa, Okla., died Sunday, Nov. 18, at Tonkawa.
He is the brother-in-law of Augusta resident Mabel Elder.
Ora Elder was a member of one of the pioneer families of Augusta.
Funeral services were Nov. 21 at the Tonkawa Christian Church.
Other survivors include nephew, Richard Elder of Wichita; and cousin of Lyle Elder of Wichita.

Marjorie Ann Ferrell
Marjorie Ann Ferrell, 65, Rose Hill, died Monday, Nov. 26, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was a former Augusta resident
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the First Christian Church,
the Rev. Michael Omundson officiating.
Ferrell was born April 6,1925, in Douglass to Myra Brewer and Allen Eagleson.
She was a Beech Aircraft shipping cleric and a former Augusta Safety Department employee.
On August 10,1946, she married John Ferrell in El Dorado. He survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Carolyn Ann Collins of Hutchinson, Debra Sue Carey of Thornton, Colo.;
brother, Roy Allen Eagleson of Magilea, Calif.; sisters, Dorothy Mills of Wichita, Eva Bastin of Edgecliff, Texas;
four grandchildren, Josh & Jamie Carey and Ryan & Nolan Collins.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Orson Evans
Rev. Orson Evans of Scott City, 75, a former Methodist minister in Augusta, died yesterday in Denver, Colo.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the First United Methodist Church in Scott City
and burial will be in the cemetery there.
Price & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral directors were
expected to meet with the family this afternoon.
Among the survivors are his wife, Christine, of the home at 205 E. Fourth Street, Scott City, Kan., 67871.
