Jerry Wayne Layton Jr.
Student at Rose Hill High School Jerry Wayne Layton Jr., 16, Rose Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 17, at home.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday at the Rose Hill United Methodist Church, the Rev. Clifford Ryherd officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Layton was born July 14, 1974, in Wichita to Patricia Ann Michaels, now of California,
and Jerry Wayne Layton Sr., now of Wichita.
Survivors include foster parents, John & Lavone Bumham of Rose Hill;
brothers, Daniel Wayne Layton of Douglass,
Doug Cousins, Terry Cousins, Linn Cousins, Donald Cousins, addresses unknown.
Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Margie (Webster) Eichenberger
Homemaker Mary Margie (Webster) Eichenberger, 75, Wichita, died Thursday, Jan. 17.
She is the sister of Augusta residents Wining Webster, Maxine Pulver and Pauline Johnston.
Funeral services were today at Mission Chapel Mausoeum, Wichita.
Other survivors include a daughter, Susan M. Jordan of Wichita; sister, Geraldine King of Baton Rouge, La.
A memorial has been established with Faith Chapel.
Quiring-Old Mission Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.
Ray Foster
Retired oil field worker Ray Foster, 76, Augusta, died today, Jan. 21, at Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 23, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael Omundson of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 27, 1914 in Mulberry as a son of Oliver Foster and Cora Groves Foster.
n Sept. 13, 1970, he married Virginia Albertson in a ceremony here. She survives.
In addition to his wife, this former roustabout for G&S Well Service leaves sons, Donald of Great Bend,
Jerry of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepson, Jason Riddle of Augusta; daughter Candy Foster of Wyoming;
Step-daughters Tina Riddle and Patricia Jones of Augusta, Jozette Rhodes of El Dorado,
and Yvonne Fletcher of Wichita; brothers, Oliver, Melvin and John, all of Fort Scott,
and 14 great-grandchildren.
Oliver L. Penner
Retired farmer Oliver L. Penner, 71, Kechi, died Saturday, Jan. 19. He is the brother of Roy L. Penner of Douglass.
Funeral services were today at Nutter Mortuary, Valley Center.
Other survivors include brother, Wesley L. of Wichita; sisters, Linda L. Unruh of Wichita,
Lillian L. Miller of Valley Center.

Mabel Tway, 93, Augusta, died this morning at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
Funeral services are pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home of
