Ray Foster

Retired oil field worker Ray Foster, 76, Augusta, died today, Jan. 21, at Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral service time has been changed to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23,
at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael Omundson of First Christian Church officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 27, 1914 in Mulberry as a son of Oliver Foster and Cora Groves Foster.
On Sept. 13, 1970, he married Virginia Albertson in a ceremony here. She survives.
In addition to his wife, this former roustabout for G&S Well Service leaves sons, Donald of Great Bend,
Jerry of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepson, Jason Riddle of Augusta;
daughters Candy Foster of Wyoming, Phyllis Grubbs of Cloverdale, Ore.;
stepdaughters Tina Riddle and Patricia Jones of Augusta, Jozette Rhodes of El Dorado,
and Yvonne Fletcher of Wichita; brothers, Oliver, Melvin and John, all of Fort Scott, and 14 greatgrandchildren.
He was a member of First Christian Church.

Earl C. Anderson

Earl C. Anderson, 61, Aurora, Colo., died Sunday, Jan. 20, in Aurora.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Anderson was bom Dec. 16, 1929, at Augusta to Stella Edith (Clark) and F.S. Anderson.
On March 4, 1951, in Greenwich, Kan., he married Ruth Klassen who preceded him in death in 1979.

Mable Ellen Tway

Mable Ellen Tway, 93, Augusta, died Monday, Jan. 21, at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Dunsford Funeral Home,
Augusta, the Rev Marvin Adams officiating.
Tway was born Sept. 12,1897, in Anderson, Mo., to Minnie (Slovens) and Elmer Chase
On Nov. 25,1915, she married
Harry E. Tway in Galena. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Clarence of Augusta; daughters, Minnie Clark of Augusta,
Mable Singleton of Norris City, ILL., Billie Fletcher of Odin; sister, Jessie Prouty of Gold, Ore.;
12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Medical Complex Lons Term Care Unit.

Doris Anderson

Doris L. Anderson, 64, El Dorado, died Sunday, Jan. 20. She is the mother of Michael S. Anderson of Douglass.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, El Dorado.
Other survivors include son, Thomas D. of Emporia; daughters, Loraine Anderson of Silver Spring, Md.,
Wava Seymour of El Dorado; mother, Roberta Braum of Silver Spring; brother, J. Edwin Braum of Savage, Md.;
sisters, Marian B. Arledge of Oakton, Va., Wava G. Skaggs of Savage, Elsie G. Braum of Wellington, Colo.;
seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, is in charge of arrangements.

Loren C. Aldrich

Loren C. Aldrich, 71, Leon, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Leon United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery, El Dorado.
Aldrich was born March 11, 1919, at Neodesha to Carl E. and Ethel (MacArthur) Aldrich.
He had been an agent for Frisco and Burlington Northern Railroad for 46 years, retiring in 1983.
His agent assignments were in Leon and Augusta.
He had lived in Leon since 1946 and had also lived in Mound Valley and Arcadia.
Aldrich was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church,
Joppa Lodge A.F. & A.M. at Leon, Railroad Historical Society and several railroad organizations.
He had served in the Army during World War II.
On April 7, 1946, he married Kathryn Hogue at Leon. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Halburt of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Ruth Aldrich of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the Leon United Methodist Church.
Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, is in charge of arrangements.
