Joseph G. Gallo

Joseph G. Gallo, 86, Augusta, died Sunday, June 2, 1996 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Cremation has taken place. His memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at the
Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Wirth officiating.
He will he buried at Elmwood Cemetery. Gallo was born on Sep. 19, 1909 in Albuquerque, N.M.,
the son of Abolonio F. and Maria Cruz (Gonzalez) Gallo.
He married Ida Marie Hayes on June 7, 1951. She survives.
Gallo was retired from the Armour Meat packing plant after 40 years of service, a
nd was affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene, Augusta.
He was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Mario of Albuquerque, N.M.;
daughters, Beatrice Negrette and Mitch Cantu, both of Des Moines, Iowa,
Maggie Graham of Mason City, Iowa, Josephine Jimenez of Rochester, Minn., Billie Jean Paul of Augusta.
Brother Edward Gallo of Ventura, Calif.; sister, Aurora Davila of Los Angeles, Calif.; niece, Ninfa Monteon of Mason City, Iowa;
28 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Oliver A. Woody

Oliver A. Woody, 75, Augusta, died Sunday, May 26, 1996, at the Walnut Valley Manor nursing home.
There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Woody was born Dec. 24, 1920 in Weatherford, Okla., to Freeman Harrison and Lillian (Parkhurst) Woody.
He married Amber Margaret William on Feb. 3, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
She preceded him in death on July 21, 1994.
Woody was retired as the assistant superintendent of the Goodland City Power Plant and
had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his son, James F. of Wichita; step-son, Harold Martin of Augusta;
brothers, Dale or Rogers, Ark., Jack of Claremore, Okla.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

William Dodson

William L. Dodson, 52, Augusta, died Thursday, July 11, 1996.
There will be a private service.
Dodson was born Feb. 20, 1944 in Coffeyville, the son of James and Goldie Dodson.
He was retired as a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by a son, William Jr. of St. Paul, Minn.;
daughter, Suzette Domingues ot Augusta; brother, Jimmy of Crockett, Texas;
sister, Nancy Gurley of South Coffeyville, Okla., and one grandchild.
Smith Mortuary of Derby is in charge of arrangements.

Edward Williams

Edward L. “Eddie” Williams, 45, Augusta, died Saturday, June 29,1996.
His service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Smith Mortuary, Derby.
The Concrete Ready Mix track driver is survived by his wife, Sandee;
sons, Craig, Teddy, both of Bartlesville, Okla.; daughter, Gretta Williams of Broken Arrow, Okla.;
stepson, Kevin Frost, stepdaughters, Kelley Jackson, Kylee Frost,all of Augusta;
mother and stepfather, Anne and Jim Gardner, father. Famous Williams, all of Bartlesville;
brother, H.R. Gibbs of Wichita; and a sister, Elizabeth Crawford of Wann, Okla.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.

Melvin Cline

Melvin “Dale” Cline, 82, Augusta, died Friday, June 28, 1996.
There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, at the Douglass Cemetery.
the retired oilfield laborer is survived by his daughter, Beverly Laughlin of Wichita;
sister, Zelma Smith of Douglass; one grandchild and three greatgrandchildren.
DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.
