Eileen Hixon

Eileen Hixon,77, Augusta, died Sunday, June 16, 1996 at Via Christi St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her arrangements were pending this morning at the Hillside Funeral Home Augusta.
In addition to her husband, Derrel, Mrs. Hixon leaves three daughters, Pat Pressnell of Ottawa;
Diania Laskowski of Beaumont, Texas, and Jan Arredondo of Augusta;
seven grandchildren, and six greatgrandchildren.

Flossie Mahannah

Flossie Fern Mahannah, 96, died Sunday, June 16, 1996.
No funeral service is planned.
She was born Jan. 9, 1900 in Judsonia, Ark., as the daughter of IsaacThomasThompson a
nd Belle Hood Sanford Thompson.
On May 25,1935, she married Jefferson E. Mahannah.
She is survived by a stepson, Joe Mahannah of Augusta; a brother, Hubert Thompson of Augusta,
and a sister, Nellie Thompson, also of Augusta.
She also leaves several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Hillside Funeral Home Augusta is in charge.

Virgil L. Fike

Virgil L. Fike, 85, Augusta, retired sewage disposal plant operator for Wichita died Saturday, June 15, 1996.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the chapel of the Hillside Funeral Home Augusta.
Rev.Edsel Lovette will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 30, 1910 in El Dorado as the son of John M. Fike and Effie Jane Griffith Fike.
He was married to Sylvia Lykins. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Fike leaves a stepson, Floyd Skyles of Visalia, Calif.; a brother, Johnny Fike of Wichita;
three sisters Clara McCollum of Andover and Esther Chastain of Wichita, and Hazel Reed of Winfield;
several grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the Augusta First Assembly of God Church building fund have been suggested.

June 21, 1996

Georgie Colbert

Georgie M. Colbert, 82, Augusta, died Wednesday, June 19, 1996 at Westview Manor in Derby.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, June 22, in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born March 27, 1914 in Augusta as the daughter of George Arnold and Anna Nachbor Arnold.
She married George E. Colbert in 1935.
This homemaker leaves son Glen Arnold and his wife Madge of Wichita;
four sisters, Dola Chappell and Esther Blake, both of Augusta, Dorothy Langford of Wichita, and
Jeannie Woods of Gillette, Wy.; three grandchildren, Janet Bryant of Augusta,
Becky Schwemmer and Kelley Arnold,both of Wichita.
Memorials to Victory In The Valley, 917 N. Market, Wichita, Kan., 67214 have been suggested.

July 12, 1996

Alice Stall

Alice Stall, 68, Augusta, died Tuesday, July 9,1996.
Her funeral service was today, July 12, and she was buried in the South Lawn Cemetery at Severy.
Stall was retired as the general offices secretary of thfe Church of the Nazarene, Wichita.
She is survived by her brothers, Clifford Johnson of Ponca City, Okla., and Boyd Johnson of Rolla.
A memorial has been established with the Linwood Church of the Nazarene, Wichita.
Hillside Funeral Home East, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.

October 25, 1996

Ella Marie Berger
Ella Marie Berger, 73, of Augusta died Oct. 24, 1996. She was a retired Kansas Newman College secretary.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Towanda Cemetery.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has the arrangements.
Survivors are husband Nelson Berger of Towanda, son Robert Berger of Tucson,
daughter DeAnn McKay of Newton, brother Minnow Schmidt of Newton and seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the National Parkinson Foundation,
P.O. Box 450, Huntington Valley, PA. 19006.

Nov. 4, 1996

Otis Buckhanon

Otis Buckhanon, 67, of Augusta died Nov. 1,1996, in his home.
His service was at 2:30 p.m. Nov, 4, at Wetumka Cemetery in Wetumka, Okla.
Mr. Buckhanon was bom Oct. 14, 1929, to Feliar and Retta (Hurley) Buckhanon in Wetumka.
He served in the Army and a retired Beech Aircraft employee.
Survivors are brother Jimmy Buckhanon of Augusta and sisters Phyllis Ozment of Vinemont, Ala.,
Lorene Fickers of Polo, Mo., Louise Ogden of Okemah, Okla, and Carolyn Foreman of Signal Mountain,
