Charles Selvage

Charles Selvage, 74, Augusta, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996, at the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
His graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 14, 1921 in Leon as the son of Bill and Etta May Hartwell Selvage.
On May 21, 1951, he married Bonnie Tharp in Augusta. She survives.
This retired forklift operator for Boeing Co. also leaves sons Ferrell and Blane Selvage, both of Augusta; daughters, Kelly Edwards and Brenda Jarvi, both of Augusta; sisters, Louise Willing and Mildred Trotter, also of Augusta, and Gladys Baker of Kent, Wash.; and three grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler and Dylan Marie Jarvi.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Walter, Leland, Virgil and Clifford Selvage.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

October 23, 1996

Cathern Roush

Cathern Marie Roush, 69, of Wichita died Oct. 21, 1996, in Wichita.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Dunsford Chapel. Pastor John Hubbard, Assembly of God Church in Newton, will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Cemetery in rural Augusta.
Cathern Scott was born August 22, 1927,' to Thomas E. and Sara R. (Jones) Scott in Kansas City, Mo. She married Robert D. Roush Nov. 23, 1944, in Wichita. He survives. She was a homemaker.
Other surviving family includes sons Robert D. Roush, Jr. and Charles E. Roush both of Wichita; daughters Rosie R. Thomas of Wichita and Helen Stanford of Newton; brothers Lee and Thomas Scott both of New Hampton, Mo. and Morris Scott of Warrenton, Mo.; sisters Julie Glenn of Wichita, Mary Fitzgerald of Hamilton, Mo. and Reba Branson of Gladstone, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Gerald James

Gerald L. “Gerry “Jesse” James, 40, of Augusta died Nov. 3, 1996, at his home.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta. Chaplain Ron Keith of Hospice, Inc. will officiate. Masonic service and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery
Mr. James was born June 5, 1956, in Topeka to George and Marilyn (Shufler) James. He married LaDonna M. Baker July 29, 1979, in Wichita.
He was a past master of Mystic Tie Lodge #74 and worked at Boeing as a modification mechanic.
Survivors are wife, LaDonna James and sons, Jeremy James and Christopher James all of the home; brothers, George T. James of Dodge City and Greg James of Augusta and parents, George and Marilyn James of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Inc., P.O. Box 3267, Wichita, KS. 67201-32267. .

November 22, 1996

Wayne McLemore

T. Wayne McLemore, 65, of Augusta died Nov. 17, 1996, at Augusta Medical Complex.
His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.
Mr. McLemore was born July 29, 1931, to Lonnie and Lillie Shaw McLemore in Tulsa, Okla.
Wayne attended school in Areola, Mo. and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, 1949-1952.
He worked at Boeing Aircraft as a jib builder from 1953 until his retirement in 1993.
Survivors are wife, Shirley Irwin of Pryor, Okla.; son, Jeff McLemore of Arkansas City;
daughters, JoAnn Hermann of Wichita and Melinda Boone of Winfield; sisters, Jo Eddys Bigelow of Osceola, Mo.;
mother, Freda Willett of Augusta; stepsons, Bruce Irwin of Claremore, Okla, and Warren Irwin of Chelsea, Okla.;
stepdaughters, Lynda Sequichie of Pryor Okla, and Lori Suffall of Tulsa and six grandchildren.

June 25, 1997

Morris Rowe Jr.

Morris Rowe Jr, 73, of Spring, Texas, and formerly of Augusta died Monday, June 23, 1997, in Woodland, Texas.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Okla.
Morris Rowe Jr. was born to Morris Sr. and Charlotte Rowe. He married Fern Daniels. She preceded him in death.
Survivors are son, John Rowe, a daughter and uncle and aunt, Wayne and Clara Miller of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.

July 4, 1997

John D. Lynn

John D. Lynn, 46, of Augusta, died Friday, June 27, 1997.
Hillside Funeral Home East in Wichita is in charge of the arrangements.
He was a mechanic at Augusta Saw & Mower.
Survivors are wife, Jeanie Lynn; sons, Eric Lynn of Pittsburg, Cameron Lynn of Wichita and Dylan Lynn of Augusta; stepdaughters, Chelsie Book and Jennifer Book of Augusta; mother, Isabel Davidson of Wichita; brother, James Lynn of Augusta; and sister, Lois Lynn of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association.
