Maurice Vorhies
Former Augustan Maurice E. Vorhies was killed in a one-car traffic accident June 3 while returning home to San Diego from their daughter’s wedding.
Vorhies and his wife, Betty, attended the wedding of daughter Kristen before the accident.
Mrs. Vorhies is hospitalized with serious injuries from the accident.
Maurice was the son of Eva Vorhies and brother of Burl in Vorhies of Augusta. He was also the uncle of Marjorie Melton and Alice Linson, also of Augusta.

Maurice Vorhies
