Dorothy Luding

Dorothy Luding, 84, of Augusta died Thursday, June 26, 1997, at Via Christi-St. Frances Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Dunsford Chapel. Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at St. James Catholic Church with Father James Mainzer officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dorothy Rosiere was born July 27, 1912, in Florence to Joseph and Mary Mae (Marler) Rosiere.
She married Harold Luding Dec. 8, 1935, in Florence.
She was an inspector at Boeing Aircraft before her retirement and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors are husband, Harold Luding of Augusta; sons, Joe Luding of Midwest City, Okla, and John Luding of Russell; brothers, Joe Rosiere of Denver, Colo., and Raymond Rosiere of Hayes; sisters Eva Toland of Loveland, Colo, and Agnes Burton of Brown City, Mich.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Francis Rhyne

Francis Lewis Rhyne, 73, of Augusta died Wednesday, June 25, 1997, at Augusta Medical Complex’s Long Term Care Unit.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta Chapel. Father James Mainzer will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Francis Rhyne was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Rantoul to James and Eva (Thompson) Rhyne.
He married Ellouise Hayes and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was a production supervisor for Hufco Oil and Oasis Oil before his retirement.
Survivors are sons, Tim Rhyne of East Port, Idaho, Bill Rhyne of Richmond, Calif., Charles Rhyne and John Rhyne both of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Richard Rhyne of Sonoma, Calif.; step-sons, Mitch Echols of Wichita and Mike Echols of Augusta; daughters Susan Rhyne of Wichita and Dorothy Plummer of Augusta; brother, Ralph Rhyne of Augusta; sisters, Dorothy Black of Russell and Doris Dean of Fayetteville, Ark.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellouise and sons, Gerald and Patrick.
Memorials have been established with St. James Catholic Church Building Fund and Alzheimer’s Association.
