Father Dies In Wichita
Robert Remy, 67, Wichita, father of Robert Remy Jr. of Augusta, died Monday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Broadway Mortuary. Rev. Charles R. Duncan will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Oatville.
He was born Dec. 2, 1915 in Haleyville, Okla., to Walter P. and Grade L. Best Remy.
He married Nola E. Hice in 1937. She survives.
He was a retired truck driver for the City of Wichita. He was a member of the Church of God.
Other survivors include another son, W. Leo Remy of Wichita; daughters, Ruth Bynum of Amarillo, Texas, Neoma Remy of the home; his mother, Gracie Remy of Charleston, Ark.; brother, Eddy Remy of Kellyville, Okla.; sisters, Lillie M. Fox of Chowchilla, Calif., and Ellar Judson of Belvidere, Ill., and nine grandchildren.
Father Dies At AMCI
Francis Dennett, 76, Rose Hill, father of Daniel Dennett of Augusta, died Monday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Mortuary in Derby. Mark McClug-gage will officiate and burial will be in the Branson Cemetery, Wichita.
He was born Oct. 18, 1906 in Rose Hill to Charles and Alice Dirlam Dennett.
He married Norma Hamlett Sept. 9, 1947 in Wichita. She preceded him in death in August.
He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Rose Hill.
He was a World War II veteran.
Other survivors include a brother, Herman Dennett of Burden; a sister, Fern Russell of Derby, and two grandchildren.
L.T. Redford Dies At 80
Laurence T. Redford, 80, Cambridge, formerly of Augusta, died last night at his home.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mils Mortuary in Burden. Rev. Lyle Phillips will officiate and burial in the Cambridge Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 7, 1902 in Divernon, Ill., to Leslie E. and Flora Armstrong Redford.
He married Elda Hartle April 8, 1939 in Lyons. She survives.
He was an oil field contractor and a rancher, masonic lodge and Kansas Livestock Association.
Other survivors includes four brothers, Wallace of Wichita, Raymond of Hutchinson, M.R. Cambridge and Verne of Lyons; two sisters, Irene Hughes of Claflin and Betty Morgan of Winfield, and a niece Retta Hess of Cambridge.

Hay Rites Are Friday
Services for Laurence E. Hay Jr., 35, Douglass, will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
Hay was found dead in his rural Douglass home around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Butler County Sheriff’s officers have classified the death as a homicide. Three suspects are being questioned.
A memorial for Hay has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
Survivors include his father, Laurence E. Hay Sr., of Wichita; his mother, Marilyn Carker of Kansas City, Mo., and a sister, Pamela Goodgion of Kansas City.
Sister Killed In Colorado
Virginia Drake, 24, Grand Junction, Colo., sister of Augustans Diana Sims and Pat Blair, was killed by multiple stab wounds earlier this month. Her funeral was Monday in Colorado.
She was the mother of three boys, Jason, 6, Jeremy, 4, and Jeffrey, 2. A 4-month-old daughter, Jennifer, died earlier this year.
Mrs. Drake’s husband, Richard, is in custody and has been charged with murder.
