Eugene L. Shaver
Eugene L. Shaver, 74, of Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 26,1997.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a,m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta Chapel with Rev. Tom Davis of Augusta First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Eugene L. Shaver was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Robert G. and Lela (Fry) Shaver.
He married Patricia Honolka in 1969 in Miami, Okla.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a U.S. Department of Defense employee before his retirement.
Survivors are wife, Patricia Shaver of Augusta; sons, David Shaver of Batavia, Ill., and Steven Shaver of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Susan Shaver of New Hampshire; stepsons, David Grimm of Wichita and Daniel Grimm of Augusta; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
