Lula Mae Betzen

Lula Mae Betzen, 89, of Augusta died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998 at Augusta Medical Complex.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in St. James Catholic Church. Her funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at St. James. Father James Mainzer will officiate.
She was a homemaker.
She was born Nov. 1, 1908 Illinois to William and Cora (Ring) Gamron.
She married Alphonse Betzen in 1952 in Wichita.
Survivors are nephew, Charles McGhee of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers-in-law, Don Ratts of Augusta.
Hillside Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial has been established with St. James Catholic Church Building Fund.

Alphonse Betzen

Alphonse B. Betzen, 89, of Augusta died Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998 at Augusta Medical Complex.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan 18 at St. James Catholic Church.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at St. James.
He was a truck mechanic.
He was born April 16, 1908 in Colwich to Jacob and Louise (Strunk) Betzen.
He married Lula Gamron in 1952 in Wichita.
Survivors include brother Joe Betzen of Wichita; -sisters, Sally Bilderback of Wichita, Lollie Betzen of Augusta, Catherine Berndsen, both of Augusta, Lucille Arndt of Wichita Falls,, Texas.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial has been established with St. James Catholic Church Building Fund. J
