Raymond Clark
Raymond L. Clark, 89, retired Mobil Oil operator, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998.
Service is I p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born to William M. and Maude (Shawler) Clark June 14, 1909.
He married Alice V. Belscher May 4, 1934, in Winfield.
Clark served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include: son Don of Augusta; sister Vivian Mayer of Port Angeles, Wash.; granddaughter LeeAnna Herman of Park City; and three greatgrandchildren.
Memorial has been established with the Augusta Senior Citizens Friendship Center.
Linda Pope
Former Douglass and Augusta area resident Linda Belt Pope, 48, Louisburg, Mo., sister of Ollie Belt, Danny Belt and Kathy Craft, all of Augusta, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998 after an extended illness.
Her funeral service has been held and burial was in the Cedar Ridge Cemetery at Long Lane, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald.
Mrs. Pope also leaves her parents, Dillard and Margaret Belt of Windyville, Mo.; her husband, Gail of the home; two sons, Derek Pope and Russell Contu; three daughters, Clarissa Brown, Yvette Harris and Shawnda Hampton; 11 grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
