Richard ‘Bart’ Bartholomew
Richard “Bart” Bartholomew, 72, Augusta, died Thursday, March 25, 1999 at Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 29, 1999 in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 1999 and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 1999 at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
He was born Jan. 2, 1927 in Wichita, to Ernest R. Bartholomew and Viola “Dutch” Reese.
A retired chemist, Mr: Bartholomew was a member of Masonic Lodge and First Christian Church.
On Nov. 19, 1948 he married Norma Hamilton. She survives.
He is also survived by a sister, Louise Hutcheson of Wichita, one grandchild, one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Douglas Bartholomew.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Inc. or First Christian Church.

Billy B. Bottom

Billy B. Bottom, 77, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999 at Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care in Augusta.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
His funeral service will be Friday, March 26, 1999 at First Baptist Church. Dr. Robert Box will officiate and Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 2, 1922 to John Brisco Bottom and Dora Ellen Winzer.
On Aug. 20, 1955 he married Margaret Lietzke in Augusta.
Mr. Bottom was a member of American Legion and First Bap-tist Church. He owned and operated Augusta Hardware Store for 32 years. He served in the Army during World Ward II.
He is survived by: his wife, Margaret; daughter, Cheryl Hodgson and son-in-law Tim of Olathe; brother-in-law, Gayle E. Barb of Florida; grandchildren, Bethany and Zachary Hodgson of Olathe and several neices and nephews.
Memorials may be made at First Baptist Church, Augusta.

Dorothy L. Reddy

Former Augusta resident Dorothy L. Reddy, 78 of Stillwell, died Sunday evening, March 21, 1999 at her home.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 26, 1999 in Hazen, Ark. at C.B. Westbrook Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the De Vails Bluff Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 2, 1999 at 2 p.m. in the Garrett Chapel located in College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan Ave. in Olathe.
She was born on Jan. 10, 1921 in De Vails Bluff, Ark.
Mrs. Reddy was an inspector for the Kansas Board of Cosmetology from Jan. 23, 1959 until Dec. 18, 1998. She was respected and well known across the state of Kansas. She was a resident of Augusta for seven years.
She is survived by daughter, Dixie Bratton of Augusta; son, Don Reddy of Stilwell; grandchildren, Kenneth Bratton of Augusta, Pamela Stranathan of Corinth, Texas, and Jack Reddy II of Stilwell; seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Audra, Austin, Kalaeb and Kennaedy Bratton of Augusta and Cameron and Samuel Stranathan of Corinth, Texas.
